Thrills and Wildlife: Our Family Adventure at Busch Gardens Tampa
When I heard about the unique blend of thrilling coasters and a top-notch zoo at Busch Gardens Tampa, I knew it was a must-visit for our family. Join me as I share our exhilarating day filled with animal encounters and heart-pounding rides.
A Day of Thrills and Roars
Our family adventure to Busch Gardens Tampa began with an early morning drive from our cozy villa in the Orlando area. The excitement was palpable as we approached the gates of this ultimate family adventure park. With a perfect blend of exhilarating coasters and fascinating animal encounters, Busch Gardens promised a day full of fun and learning for all of us.
We decided to start our day in the Egypt area, where the Montu and Cobra’s Curse coasters awaited. The lines were short, and the rides were thrilling! Unfortunately, our favorite coaster, Cheetah, was down for maintenance, a lesson learned to always check ride availability before heading out. But no worries, the Edge of Africa was next on our list, and it did not disappoint. Watching the lions being fed was a mesmerizing experience, and the kids were absolutely captivated.
Soaring High and Exploring Jungala
After our animal encounters, we opted for the Skyride to take us over to the Jungala area. The view from above was breathtaking, and it was a great way to rest our feet while still enjoying the park. The SheiKra coaster was next, and it was a heart-pounding experience that left us all exhilarated. We also tried the new Tigris ride, which, although short, packed a punch of excitement.
Our journey continued to the Congo area, where the Kumba coaster awaited. It was another thrilling ride that had us all cheering. We then made our way to Pantopia, hoping to try Falcon’s Fury, but it was unfortunately out of service. No worries, though, as we enjoyed a leisurely lunch in the area, with plenty of tables and room to relax.
A Perfect Ending to a Perfect Day
With our energy replenished, we strolled through the Serengeti Plain, marveling at the diverse wildlife. The gorillas in the Nairobi area were a highlight, and we spent quite some time observing their playful antics. As the day began to wind down, we made our way to the Sesame Street Safari of Fun area, perfect for the little ones.
We wrapped up our day with a second ride on the Tigris coaster, a family favorite, before taking the Skyride back to the Edge of Africa. As we exited the park, we couldn’t help but reflect on the wonderful memories we had made. Busch Gardens Tampa truly offers a unique combination of thrilling rides and incredible animal experiences, making it a must-visit for families seeking adventure and fun.
For those planning a visit, I recommend arriving early to enjoy the popular coasters before the crowds pick up. And if you’re visiting with younger children, be sure to check the height requirements for the rides. With a little planning, your family can enjoy a stress-free and unforgettable day at Busch Gardens Tampa.
