Usambara Mountains - Waterfalls & Irente View Point (5-6hrs)

From lushoto, hike to to this outlook for spectacular views of the village of Mazinde and the Maasai plains,almost 1000mtrs below.Eat lunch at the irente Biodiversity reserve/farm in their beautifull flower garden.

Magamba Rain Forest (5-6hrs)

Walk through villages and farm land to the lush rainforest where you can see black and white colobus monkeys. On the way back, pass by the historical royal village of the kilindi (the washambaa rulling clan ) and the old German bunker dug during world War 1.

Combined Trip to Magamba &Irente Viewpoint (Fully Day)

For shorter stays in the area, we recommend a combination hike to the irente viewpoint and Magamba Rainforest, where you can see colobus monkeys.

DAY 1; Start off from Tanga City at 7.30am after enjoying breakfast, taking a private car journey to the West Usambara Mountains (Lushoto). Expected arrival at 10.00am, followed by a hike to Magamba Rainforest and the Irente viewpoint (Combined Tour). Lunch provided near the Irente ViewPoint. The day concludes at 5.30pm with a return to Lushoto Town for an overnight stay and dinner.

Day 2; Post-breakfast, leave Lushoto Town towards the Mkuzu waterfalls followed by a hike to Mtae. Overnight accommodation and dinner at Magumba Lodge or Mambo Cliff inn.

DAY 3; Following breakfast, experience a brief tour in the mountains before heading to Tanga City, Dar or Arusha, depending on your tour plan.
