Fes - Ifrane - Azrou -Ziz Valley - Sahara desert

Ifrane - After a scenic hour-long drive from Fes, our journey pauses at Ifrane, fondly known as the “Switzerland of Morocco.” Nestled in the Middle Atlas region, between Fez and Marrakech, Ifrane beckons with its allure as one of the country’s premier tourist destinations. Renowned for its cooler climate, charming architecture, diverse landscapes, tranquil lakes, flowing streams, and an array of outdoor activities, the Switzerland of Morocco captivates visitors with its natural beauty and recreational opportunities.

Azrou Cedar Forest - During our journey through the Middle Atlas Mountains, we’ll pause amidst the lush forest to observe and engage with the Barbary apes, affectionately known as monkeys. These creatures are incredibly accustomed to human presence, eagerly interacting and accompanying you on walks through the mountainous terrain. Revel in the delightful companionship of these amiable primates; feel free to approach them and offer nuts, a treat they particularly enjoy

Merzouga Desert - Once a modest river carving through mountain rocks, now stretches an expansive palm oasis spanning over 20 kilometers, adorned with more than 18,000 palm trees. Our journey to the desert begins in Erfoud, leading us to our ultimate destination: the Erg Chebbi dunes.

Upon reaching our desert hotel, dromedaries stand ready for our hour-long trek through the dunes, guiding us to the desert’s core to witness a breathtaking sunset. As night falls, we gather at camp to the rhythmic beats of drums, savoring dinner and Moroccan tea under the vast canopy of stars, eventually retiring to our tents for a peaceful slumber.

Merzouga desert - Rissani - Todra Gorge - Dades Gorge

Rissani Market - After a sunrise show, return to the hotel. After a shower and a delicious breakfast, we have to say goodbye to the desert and we will leave for Rissani. (This town is attractive both for its surroundings and for its history). It is considered the heir of the mythical Sijilmassa, the ancient capital of Tafilalet that once had more than 100,000 inhabitants). Where we will visit their market (we are lucky that it is one of the market days: Tuesday, Thursday or Sunday),

Todgha Gorge - we will follow the road towards Erfoud where you will have the opportunity to visit the fossilized marble factory before continuing towards the palm. Touroug and Tinjdad groves. Later we will arrive at one of the strongest points of the High Atlas, the Todra Gorges.

The Todra River bed has formed a gorge of vertical walls of enormous proportions and great beauty, it is a paradise for climbers and a unique place. Lunch on site and recommended walk to see and enjoy the Gorges

Dades Gorges - In the afternoon we will continue towards the Dades Valley, also known as the Valley of the Figs due to the many fig trees in this Valley. Passing through Boumalne Dadés we will stop at the “monkey’s paws”

Dades Gorge - Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou - Marrakech

Ouarzazate - We’ll keep following the path of the Kasbahs and journey through the Valley of Roses until we arrive at Skoura. There, you can explore the intricate palm grove, . In Ouarzazate, you can marvel at or explore the Kasbah of Taourirt. And if you’re a fan of cinema, you can’t miss the chance to visit the film studios where numerous iconic movies have been shot.

Ait Ben Haddou - Next we can detour towards Aït Benhaddou, one of the largest kasbahs in the entire south, which maintains some parts well preserved thanks to the fact that it has also become the setting for many films, such as “Gladiator”.

You can walk through its streets and climb to the top where you can contemplate the beautiful views of the valley.

Marrakech - We continue towards Marrakech crossing the High Atlas mountains. The road should be traveled slowly, due to its beauty and because it is a mountain pass that crosses the Atlas at almost 2,300m. 200% recommended - I took the tour with my mother and we thought it was the best. Everyone we met welcomed us warmly and made my mother feel comfortable in all the activities. Especially Hassan, who was always aware of us and our safety, at all times we were in communication with the family with the internet that was available on the routes and in all the hotels. The desert hotel is very nice! Highly recommended

Experience 20 out of 10 - We did the tour from Tangier to Marrakesh, staying 3 nights in the latter city. Highly recommended the tour and the destinations that are included and the service 20 out of 10. The vehicle was very comfortable, the driver, the guides, everything was impeccable. The Riad-type accommodations are very Moroccan, beautiful, and the night in the Sahara is spectacular. The weather in March is very cool (somewhat cold on windy nights). All the guides and contact people spoke Spanish and were very kind. We were always welcomed with mint tea and cookies.
