Tangier - Begin your tour from the airport or your hotel after breakfast. The first day is dedicated to exploring Tangier city. You’ll embark on both a bus and walking sightseeing tour. Visit Cap Spartel, the impressive Palace of the Sultan, the Necropolis, and the caves of Hercules. You’ll also have free time to explore the MEDINA with its colorful and aromatic streets and pick up a souvenir.

Tetouan - Next, pass through Tetouan city with its houses on the hills, and continue through the Rif mountains, enjoying the lush green scenery.

Chefchaouen - Later, head towards the blue city – Chefchaouen. Nestled high in the Rif Mountains, it’s famous for its buildings washed in bright shades of blue, making it one of the world’s prettiest cities.

Upon arrival, check into your Riad and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure for individual exploration. Perhaps take a stroll through the ancient Medina with its winding alleyways, cobbled plazas, and unique doorways, or simply sit at a café and enjoy the passing time. Alternatively, you might prefer to hike in the surrounding hills to a former mosque for a great view over the Medina nestled between two mountain peaks and witness the sunset.

Chefchaouen → The Roman ruins of Volubilis → Meknes → Fes

Chefchaouen - After breakfast, feel free to wander through the beautiful alleyways of the blue city, Chefchaouen.

Volubilis - Then drive to visit the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis. It is well-preserved and recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The site features many beautiful mosaics, ancient pillars, and archways.

Meknes - After exploring the ruins, drive 30 km to visit Meknes. The city is considered the Ismaili capital and one of the imperial cities. Visit Bab Al-Mansour, Sahrij Souani basin, the Royal stables, the granary, and the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum.

Fes - Then head to Fes for an overnight stay in a Riad.

Fes - Dedicate the day to exploring the highlights of Fes city with a local guide. The city is one of the imperial cities and is considered the cultural and religious center of Morocco.

Royal Palace of Fez - Start the day by visiting the Royal Palace gate. Then explore the well-preserved medieval Medina, listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Medina of Fez - Visit the Blue Gate or Bab Boujloud, the entrance to the old Medina, which appears to be a labyrinth of alleyways and streets. Enter the Medina to visit The Medrasa Bouanania, the Najjarine fountain, and the Tanneries.

Bab Bou Jeloud - Finally, visit the Quaraouin mosque and university, the oldest university in the world. After that, leave the Medina to visit the Jewish quarter, also known as “the Mellah.” Then drive to an ancient fortress for a panoramic view of the Medina and the city of Fes. Finally, return to your Riad.

Fes → Ifrane → Cedars forest → Midelt → Ziz valley → Merzouga

Ifrane - After breakfast, drive south through Imouzzer to visit Ifrane. The city is famous for its low temperatures, snow, and alpine-style architecture. It’s no wonder it’s called the Switzerland of Morocco.

Cedar Forest - Continue to the cedar forest, home to the Barbary macaques. Feel free to feed them while wandering through the forest.

Midelt - Later, continue to Midelt, where you’ll have free time for lunch. Then drive to Merzouga through the Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass and along the Ziz valley, with stops for panoramic views.

Merzouga Desert - In the afternoon, reach the Sahara desert of Merzouga, where you’ll switch to camels and cross the sandy desert. Stop on top of a high dune to enjoy the sunset. Finally, continue to the camp, which combines traditional nomadic tents with the luxury of a hotel. Enjoy Berber drum music while dancing around the campfire under a vast open sky of stars. Dinner and overnight in the camp.

Merzouga Sahara → Rissani → Erfoud → Todra Gorges → Dades Valley

Erg Chebbi - Wake up early to witness the beautiful sunrise in the middle of the desert. After breakfast, leave the desert to visit Rissani town, the ancient capital of Tafilalet. Rissani remains a major trading center in the region, with a lively souk three days a week.

Todgha Gorge - After exploring Rissani souk, continue to Erfoud to visit one of the fossilized marble workshops. Then drive through Touroug and Tinjdad palm groves to reach the Todra Gorges. The Todra river has carved out a grand canyon through the mountains, creating high red cliff-sided canyons. These gorges are ideal for rock climbers. Feel free to wander through the gorges and appreciate the landscape’s beauty. Enjoy free time for lunch at a restaurant.

Dades Gorges - Continue to the Dades valley through Boumalne Dades, with inevitable stops at the “monkey fingers” rock formation and a spot overlooking the Dades valley. Finally, enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in a hotel.

Dades Valley → Ouarzazate → Ait Ben Haddou → High Atlas Mountains → Marrakech

Valley of the Roses - After breakfast, continue to Kalaa Magouna to visit the Rose valley. A Rose Festival is held annually in May, where locals offer their rose products, from perfumes and rose water to oil and cosmetic products.

Ouarzazate - Drive through the palm groves of Skoura to reach Ouarzazate. Visit the studios where famous movies were shot.

Ait Ben Haddou - Depart to visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The Kasbah has appeared in many movies, including Gladiator, Alexander, and The Mummy, as well as TV series like Game of Thrones.

Tizi n Tichka - Continue to Marrakech by driving through the Tizi-N-Tichka pass and the High Atlas Mountains. Stops will be made for lunch and to take pictures at interesting spots.

Marrakech - Finally, reach Marrakech. Transfer to the airport if you have a flight that day, or drop off at your hotel in Marrakech.
