Amazing! - This was a great way to do the blue city. Our van was so spacious and our driver Ahmed was so kind and helpful. He was so patient with our big family! He gets 5 stars! The city is beautiful, our tour guide Abdul grew up there so it was so nice to see it through his eyes! Highly recommend this option.

In the blue painted blue - Characteristic village with the color blu.Vicoli, streets, houses, caves, restaurants, souk all blu.Perditi in the blue alleys of the souk, continued until you get to the river where you can see the children bathe and enjoy tea or a juice in the bars below, and then continue on foot, for a nice climb, also made of stairs, to the Spanish mosque and enjoy in absolute peace, a spectacular view of Chefchaouen. In the souk you will find spaces where you can take souvenir photos, each for its peculiarity, but remember that, you will find children or ladies who always ask for a tip for taking the photo in that alley. We were in August, tourists are there, but inside the souk there are not many restaurants open for lunch, and we decided to stop before entering the souk (100 meters even), at the "Fornaccio", and then embark on our walk inside the country. Positive experience, also valid as a tour. We booked with the GetYourGuide app, departing from Fez (8h total trip), for a 4h excursion stop. Council

A Must for first time visitors to Tangier - A wonderful day trip from Tangier to Chefchaouen. Our driver, Ahmed was friendly, communicative, and punctual to pick us up. The van itself was very comfortable, with excellent air conditioning. The stop halfway to Chefchaouen was lovely, with a gorgeous view of a lake and plenty to eat and drink if you choose. Chefchaouen itself was quite busy and very hot but still a wonderful experience. Ahmed gave us plenty of time to explore and was even flexible when others in the group wished to stay longer (but then later changed their minds so we ended up leaving earlier). He made sure everyone agreed and was happy. He also provided us ice cold water after our trip which was much needed. Overall a very fun experience and would recommend to anyone in Tangier wishing to visit Chefchaouen!

Transport not as indicated - We needed a round trip transport to Chefchaouen (without guide). Although the driver was friendly, we were somewhat disappointed anyway. First of all, the journey to get there was longer than expected. Pick-up was 15 minutes late and the halfway stop was longer than expected. Therefore, Chefchaouen's time was 4 hours instead of 5. In addition, the driver did not have water bottles in his vehicle (contrary to what was stated in the advertisement) and never cared about the comfort of the passengers in the first part of the trip. It took a long time before one of the passengers turned on the air conditioning.

Enjoy your visit Chefchouan - Ahmed was a very good guide who stopped at different places along the way to observe magnificent views and there is plenty of time for 4 hours to go around the medina. Experience recommended!

Day trip without explanation - There was no explanation on the drive there. The driver got pulled over for speeding and left us in the hot car while taking care of his business. We couldn’t open the door or open any windows. This happened on the way there. He was pleasant overall but I expected a little more effort and some direction on what part of the city to go

Don't do it, select different Chefchaouen offer - 1 out of 10. The tour was not a tour, it was a taxi to get you to Chefchaouen. Our driver did not speak to the group the 2 hour drive. He didn't tell us about history, the towns we drove through, nothing. We get to Chefchaouen, he parks, then tells all 8 of us to go top of hill and there's medina. See you in 4 hours. I ask him where do we go to find the highlights, famous streets, popular picture spots, the waterfall. He says to my daughter and I "go up hill and walk, go". Wevwalked about 20 minutes, felt lost, not knowing how to find things we wanted to see, picture spots, the gates, the snap chats shots, etc. A nice man on street saw us confused, spoke English, and asked what happened. When I told him we were dropped off for 4 hours with no information, this man said "come, I walk with you 1 hour half and show you". This man showed us everything and taught us everything!!! The unique streets and why, the colours and why, why the name of the city, it's history, why the different doors, we met the berber, the one who made blankets, the ceremonies of marriage and babies, the argan oil, the spices, and their water ways and took us to waterfall and explained its history in the streets. He helped us shop. He was so kind. We get back to taxi and get in and he doesn't speak to anyone again for 2 hours. Description for the days says water INCLUDED, our driver gave us NO WATER ALL DAY. Pictures attached to this review show a group of people together like a tour group, nope, walk yourself, bye! Pictures suggest you go to the lookout point where you can see the whole city, that would have been nice, but nope!! The pictures attached to this day are deceiving. We did not get our monies worth for paying for this "day trip" as we got no water and no information, literally, from our driver. If you want to get lost on your own and have no idea where you are wandering, this is your day - a taxi with 4 hours free time. If you hoped for information, direction, assistance, learning, to see the highlights, stay away from this one and book a different offer to Chefchaouen. We were very disappointed we selected and paid for this day. But go to Chefchaouen, it's worth it!! Just don't select and book this one.
