Tangier to Fes
Chefchaouen - The operator will pick you up from Tangier Port or your accommodation and drive towards Fes, passing through Tetouan to reach Chefchaouen. You will have four hours to explore this charming blue Moroccan town. Founded in 1471 as a small fortress, Chefchaouen still retains its original structure. This picturesque town features blue doors and white-walled medinas, initially established as a Berber post. Upon arrival, you will have free time to visit the medina. After your visit, the journey continues towards Fes, passing through Ouezzane and other villages in the Rif region. Overnight stay will be at your hotel or Riad.
Fes to Merzouga Desert
Merzouga - After breakfast, the operator will pick you up at 8:00 a.m. to head towards the Merzouga Sahara. The route passes through the Middle Atlas and the cedar forests of Azrou, known for its resident monkeys. There will be a break to enjoy the scenery and take photos. Continuing towards southern Morocco, you will have lunch at a traditional Moroccan restaurant. The journey proceeds through the stunning Ziz Valley, rich with millions of palm trees, before arriving at the Merzouga desert. Here, a camel ride awaits you. During the camel trek, you will pause to enjoy the sunset before continuing to a nomadic Berber tent, where a delicious dinner and traditional Berber songs await. In the early morning, it is recommended to climb the big dune to witness the breathtaking sunrise.
Merzouga to Dades Gorge
Gargantas del Todra - Rising early will reward you with an unforgettable sunrise. Afterwards, you will enjoy a peaceful camel trek back to the village of Merzouga. Along the way, you will marvel at the unique beauty of the Erg Chebbi sand dunes, which change with the light throughout the day. After breakfast at the Riad, you will depart for the Todra Gorges, the highest and narrowest gorges in Morocco. Following lunch in the heart of the gorge, the journey continues through the Dades Valley, where you will see majestic sand castles and the fascinating rock formations known as “monkey toes.” Overnight accommodation will be in a luxurious hotel overlooking the Dades Valley. Overnight stay will be at your hotel or Riad.
Dades to Marrakech
Ait Ben Haddou - After breakfast at the hotel, the journey continues through the Dades Valley towards Kalaa M’gouna and Marrakech. The route through the Dades Valley is known as the “way of the thousand kasbahs,” offering numerous opportunities for stunning photographs. A stop will be made at Kalaa Mgouna, “the rose city,” to purchase rosewater, which will keep your linens smelling fresh long after your trip. The journey then proceeds to the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, the largest Kasbah in Morocco, built by Et Hami El Glaoui, one of the last Berber chieftains in the 18th century, now home to many Glaoui people. The journey continues through the majestic Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2260m) over the High Atlas Mountains, concluding at your accommodation in Marrakech.
