Authentic Family Cooking Experience - My daughter and I had a great experience. This seemed very authentic. Our hosts treated us like a neighbor, instead of a tourist. They did not act like characters, they did not attempt to put on a show. It seemed like how an average week night would be in a real neighbor or family members home. The host took us to the market, asked us which vegetables we liked, he handled purchasing the groceries in Arabic language. Then he drove us back to his family apartment. His mother, girlfriend and younger siblings were present. We followed the mother's instructions to prepare the food. She showed us Moroccan pots and how to prepare the food on the stove top. Then we prepared homemade mint tea from local spices. We ate our meal, drank our tea and had small homemade dessert. Everything tasted amazing. We talked and shared information about our home countries. After dinner Anwar helped us purchase ferry tickets to Spain. That was a big bonus. I am in Spain tonight writing my review for them. I encourage people to book this cooking class if they want an authentic Moroccan experience. It is not flashy, it is not fake, it is very authentic.

Friendly and Delicious - The family was very friendly and welcoming into their home. Anwar did a great job of making us feel included and the family was very kind. The food is delicious and they made the cooking process very simple and easy to understand/follow.

Everything was perfect. Well organized, nice atmosphere and excellent food at the end. - The cooking class was great! Authentic Moroccan cuisine, very nice guide, family-friendly and unique. I would definitely recommend it.

Expierience the authentic essence of Morocco - The welcome was very warm, the food was delicious, and I felt right at home. This wasn’t a typical restaurant or commercial class but one enriched with Moroccan traditions. They shared many unique details and were very hospitable. The cooking lesson took place in a family home.

Highly recommended - One of the best cooking courses I have taken so far. You are warmly welcomed by the family and cook in their home. The food is prepared step by step and everything is explained very well. You also learn something about Moroccan culture. It is highly recommended

Great recommendation! - Very friendly family, Anwar is a very nice host. We were right in his family's living room. They had chicken tajin to eat. We learned a lot about the preparation methods and learned foods in general that I was not yet aware of. Anwar also told us a lot about himself and his life when asked. Great recommendation!

Authentic and delicious family-meal - The guide was very friendly and his father, who received us in their house and helped prepare the meal, was very welcoming. We prepared a tajine together and got some explanation of the ingredients. All we had to do was cut the vegetables, so it was really more of a shared meal than a cooking class. While waiting for the meal to cook, the guide had to leave unfortunately, and were left with the father (who only spoke arabic) while enjoying tea and cookies. We shared the meal with the father and he showed us the way out of the Medina afterwards. While the meal was delicious, and the people very friendly, we expected a bit more (e.g., market visit, take-home recipes, and more than one dish). If you are looking for an authentic experience at a family-home; we'd recommend it. If you are looking to learn more about Moroccan cuisine and take-home recipes, perhaps look for other options.

WATCH OUT! Advertising not representative of the activity - WARNING!, The images are not representative and the description of the activity is not accurate. We did not go shopping or buy food with the mom of the owner of North Tours Tangier. We did some cooking with the mother of the owner of the agency and moreover we had chosen in French and the latter speaks only Arabic and English. Moreover during the preparation, the owner was constantly on his cell phone and he even left us for more than 30 minutes with his mother who speaks only in Arabic. Fortunately the meal we prepared was delicious.
