Great introduction to Tangier! - This tour was a great introduction for us on our first visit to Tangier. Very kind and knowledgeable tour guide. Nice walking tour and information about Tangier while we walked to some very nice local food locations.

Amazing Tangier experience with Mohammed - My husband and I traveled with my in-laws to Tangier on 21/3/23 and met our guide Mohammed for a food tour. We couldn’t have asked for a better tour and guide during our time in Morocco. Mohammed took us to places tourists would never be able to find, and most importantly showed us everyday life of Moroccans by walking us through the markets and neighborhoods and all around the Medina. Mohammed was very knowledgeable and gave us loads of history which our group loved. We had a variety of good snacks and traditional food throughout the day ( do not eat before this tour). I would highly recommend Mohammed to anyone visiting Tangier or Morocco, he helped make our day stress-free and gave us an unforgettable experience. Thanks Mohammed!

Best tour ever! - Amazing tour! We met up with Mohamed and he gave us the best tour of Tangier! We went through the busy socco, the small streets, tried his favorite soup-place, juice-bar and streetfood before ending the tour in an all-local restaurant with a traditional ramadhan-meal, where noone ate until the sun had set! Amazing experience, so thank you, Mohamed, for the best tour!

Such a great tour! ... - Such a great tour! Because Muhammad, our guide, grew up in the city he was able to share great stories about Tangier culture, food and history. He was such fun to hang out with and we quickly felt like old friends just getting together! The food was exceptional — we went to places and tried things we’d never have found had we not been with Muhammad!

Best day in Tangiers with Mohammed - Perfect way to get introduced to Tangiers - on foot, with a true local (Mohammed was born in the Medina), with plenty of delicious food on the way. It felt like much more than a food tour - a mix of history, culture, and city exploration. The tour was very well designed and paced - walking mixed with food so we got to enjoy a lot of food but also did feel like we needed to kneel over afterward because we had time to digest and enjoy. Mohammed was a superlative tour guide - he's a pro who also has a private tour business, and it shows. He was very knowledgable about all aspects of Tangier and Morocco in general, and also super personable. We felt like we got to know him and his experiences. He also was able to connect us to trusted guides in our cities that helped us plan our experiences in other cities we were visiting. highly recommend the activity, definitely ask for Mohammed!

Great food tour in Tangier - We did the tangier food tour and it was awesome I highly recommend it and especially with Mohammad. Super nice guide and quite knowledgeable . He is a tangier local who grew up in the Medina so he has a lot of insights into life growing up in Tangier. We went to an area that wasn't very touristy but was bustling with locals. I especially enjoyed being out in these areas away from the touristy Medina and more with the locals and to see local life and this is where we went for a good portion of the tour. It was super interesting, the food was great and i learnt a lot. Mohammad was a wonderful guide and I highly recommend him.

Local Food, Guide, Old City (Medina) Tour - This is a great way to not only try local food, but get a local guide to walk you through the old city Medina. It’s easy to get lost in there, and is better than exploring on your own as a tourist. Food: Mint tea with fresh mint (North Moroccan version), traditional omelette & cheese with cumin breakfast, fresh squeezed orange juice at cafe Tingas, cucumber and lemon juice, lamb kebabs barbecue, homemade lamb with plumbs and Moroccan bread. No need to eat breakfast! Enjoy once you’re on the tour :) Tour: Most of the tour took place inside the Medina, or old city, but part of it was outside. - Men weaving rugs and spools of thread - Breakfast cafe - Local food market with chicken feather plucking and vegetable selling - Public Moroccan oven with demonstration - Cafe Tingas: busy hub for tourists and locals alike. Lots of restaurants and fun to come back to if have time. - Rooftop stops over the Medina - Rug shop - Local home visit in place of additional restaurants due to the tour falling on the Eid al-Adha holiday Guide: Moha is local to Morocco and he lives with his family near Tangier. He knows the city well, including a good relationship with the many shop keepers on the tour. He will pay the places you visit, as it’s included in your price of the tour - so you can just relax and enjoy. He is sure to tell you no pressure to buy when visiting stores. He is open to answering any questions above Morocco, unrelated to food, to enhance the tour experience. He is a very friendly guide and we felt safe/well cared for throughout the day. He also uses WhatsApp for easy communication leading up to the tour.

Food tour with Moha - We did the food tour with Mohammed, it was a great experience! During the tour, Mohammend told us very interesting facts about Tangier and the Moroccan culture, he gave us tipps, we tried various delicous dishes (recommendable for vegetarians) and we got to know Tangier from a different angle – we wouldn’t have seen all the beautiful places if we hadn’t done the tour. Summed up, the tour is a perfect introduction into the Moroccan food culture and the history of Tangier. We would defenitely do it again, with Mohammend, of course! Thank you for this fun and beautiful day!

Wonderful exposure to Tangier’s markets & foods - Our initial guide was a no show but, once contacted, a certified replacement was immediately sent. We enjoyed olives, Cornbread and crepes served honey, cream cheese, butter and almond butter with traditional mint tea in a very small cafe. We walked through a flower, pet and twice weekly food market. We had two types of delicious bean soup with bread at a very local spot — the super friendly owner/ cook welcomed us. Our guide bought us a variety of olives from a kiosk. My favorite was a hot Chickpea tortilla from a street vendor that we enjoyed with a mixed fruit smoothy. We had a delicious date & walnut bite from a Medina vendor. We also spent time in a small spice shop. We were also offered an afternoon meal but were too full to accept. Our last stop was a pastry shop where we chose a few goodies to enjoy later. Thank you Hamid for the great experiences.
