An intimate full day tour of Tangier - Bilal brought the Tangier area to life for us. He was the most personable guide we have ever had. We spent the whole day with him going from the port to the rich area, by the palaces, to the beach with camels, to the Medina where we strolled through the old town. We never felt rushed or on a clock. We wanted lunch, so he called a friend who opened the intimate restaurant just for us, for a wonderful pre fixe meal! We of course wanted a carpet and some zellij tile and he hooked us up. As we traveled through, he always came up with the movie references too! Another cultural thing we found out is that you could tell who was living in a particular house by just looking at the door! What was cool about this tour was that there was a driver AND a guide. The driver would drop us off at each segment with Bilal and pick us up when we were done wandering. Bilal is a rare and insightful person and if you have an opportunity to see Tangier with him, jump at the chance!

Friendly guide for Brazilians. - Bilal was an excellent guide, attentive, cultured and speaking several languages. He took great care of my elderly father-in-law. He is a local resident of the medina and therefore knows everything and everyone. I recommend.

Tour felt like visiting a friend! - The most important thing I need to mention is that Bilal did not act like a tour guide. He acted like we were long time friends visiting his beloved city for the first time. He grew up and lives in Tangier, and so was intimately familiar with the city. We mentioned that we are interested in history, so he tailored his tour to that. The driving tour was informative and beautiful, and when the driver stopped to begin the walking, tour, Bilal offered a traditional pastry. I told him that I was allergic to wheat, and later, he told the owner of the wonderful restaurant, Vandalucia, that I was allergic. He immediately said, 'ok, no gluten, I will give you this'...and created a perfect lunch menu for me. The lunch was absolutely delicious and authentic, and Bilal was kind enough to join us when we asked him. He also answered many questions for us throughout the meal, although that seems to be the normal break time for the tour guides here. We also thoroughly enjoyed the other parts of the tour, the beach camel ride and the caves of Hercules. I should also mention logistics, which included a driver picking us up from our hotel in Casablanca, showing us where to get the high speed train, and making sure we had the tickets. When we arrived in Tangier, somewhat nervous, Bilal found us quickly, and the driver, Redah (not sure of spelling), was waiting for us outside the station. Everything worked like clockwork, and after the tour, they took us to the station, walked us in, and showed us where to wait for the train back to Casablanca. We cannot recommend Bilal highly enough, and we would absolutely come back to Tangier, if we were ever in Morocco again.

Amazing day in Tangier… thanks, Bilal! - Bilal was an amazing guide! The day in Tangier was one I’ll always remember! Bilal met us when we got off the ferry from Spain, with a sign with our names on it. From there we met out private driver and we went to gorgeous views of the Mediterranean Sea, rode camels on the beach, visited the Hercules caves, visited the Kasbah/Kasbah museum and had an authentic lunch… it was an action packed day and Bilal provided interesting facts and history throughout the day and answered whatever questions we had. He was also a great photographer!! I couldn’t recommend this trip enough, I already want to return.
