Guardian Angel! - "Highlights of Tetouan" tour with tourist guide Abir. We arrived by cruise ship to Tangier Morocco. My wife was very sick with sinus infection so I went solo. I did not realize what a lovely day our group would experience and it all started with a cheerful greeting by Abir, a beautiful young lady who had a real passion for her job, as well we all found out that Tetouan was her home town. It was quite evident that she had great pride in her city as well she told me she was the first female tour guide! So impressive was to see her greeted by locals in the street acknowledging her with repect with a kind greeting. She told me she worked very hard to achieve this. During the tour we saw historical sights and I mentioned to Abir about my wife's condition and she escorted me to a pharmacy where I was able to purchase antibiotics! Abir was so kind that she paid in her local currency and I gave her U.S. dollars. She was quite savy as she did a currency conversion and she said she owed me money back! We were gone maybe ten minutes from the group but I was impressed that she would deviate from the tour explaining to our group the reason why. The long and short of it was the antibiotics set my wife back on the path of healthyness. During our day we saw the parliament buildings walked through markets and some historical alley ways, stopping at a tea house and visiting a carpet presentation (very entertaining) and our last stop was at a famous artisan college and witnessed the handy work of students and instructors carve out intricate shapes in wood. So revered that the instructor and students were invited to Toronto to showcase there trade. All in all Abir a thirty year old woman has a great future ahead of her. She possess the knowledge, passion and intellect to deliver a seamless presentation of our tour. A cheerful disposition, great sense of humor with great compassion that I personally experienced. If you are thinking of a tour in Morocco don't look any further than Abir!

9 hour tour worth taking. - I recently took a tour with Atlas Cruises, and it was an unforgettable experience. Our guide, Abir, was exceptional. Her knowledge of Moroccan history, culture, and customs was impressive, and her passion for her country was infectious. She made us feel like family and ensured we had a truly authentic experience. We started in Tétouan, Abir's hometown, and explored the vibrant old city. We visited a local art school where we learned about traditional Moroccan crafts and had the opportunity to chat with the students. The highlight of the tour was our visit to a beautiful souk, where we haggled for colorful carpets and spices. Abir's expertise in navigating the market and her ability to negotiate the best prices were invaluable. The food was delicious, especially the couscous we enjoyed in a local restaurant. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and it was a great opportunity to experience Moroccan hospitality firsthand. I highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in exploring the rich history and culture of Morocco. Abir's knowledge and enthusiasm made it a truly memorable experience.
