  • Achakkar Beach - About 20km from Tangiers is one of the loveliest beaches named “Achakar beach”.
It has vast expanses of sand that are available to swimmers.
The Mediterranean Sea extends over three kilometres of fine sandy beach that unfolds right at the junction of the waves of the Atlantic.
This beach has the advantage of being very clean and pleasant to use.
  • Caves of Hercules - The Caves of Hercules is an archaeological cave complex located in Cape Spartel, Morocco. Situated 14 kilometres (9 mi) west of Tangier, the popular tourist attraction is adjacent to the summer palace of the King of Morocco.
The cave has two openings, one to sea and one to land. The sea opening is known as “The Map of Africa”. It is believed that the Phoenicians created the sea opening which is in the shape of Africa when looked at from the sea. There are also some markings on the wall in the shape of eyes, that are said to be made by the Phoenicians, which make up a map of the local area.

The cave itself is part natural and part man-made. The man-made part was used by Berber people to cut stone wheels from the walls, to make millstones, thus expanding the cave considerably.[2] There are both free and paid entrances. It costs 5 Moroccan dirhams per person to enter the cave and an optional additional 5 for a guide, but other currencies are also accepted.

  • Kasbah Museum - A complex of castles on top of the hill overlooking the city. The Sultan, Moulay Ismail, built his palace here, and the gardens are part of his 17th century palace, called Dar el Makhzen.

  • Grand Socco - The Grand Socco Alto Mall is a large Shopping Mall in Tangier, Morocco. The term, socco is a Spanish corruption of the Arabic souq (or souk). The Grand Socco Alto Mall and Carrefour Socco occupy Tangier’s medina (old quarter) and continues to operate as a bazaar or market-place.

  • Moshe Nahon Synagogue - The Moshe Nahon Synagogue in Tangier, Morocco, is a historic and culturally significant religious site. Known for its elegant architecture and rich history, the synagogue stands as a testament to the vibrant Jewish heritage of Tangier. With intricate detailing and a serene ambiance, it offers a place of worship and reflection for both locals and visitors interested in exploring the city’s diverse religious tapestry.

  • Medina of Tangier - Petite Socco - Once one of the greatest souks in all of Morocco, home to many notable writers, businessmen, diplomats and bankers had their offices located around the square and cafes, hotels and casinos were testament to the wealth of the area.

Visit to emblematic places - Even though the weather was not good, we visited the places and finished the route, took photos and ate in a restaurant with typical Moroccan food. We just missed a little sun.

Half Day Tour of Tangier with Mohssine - My husband and I were accompanied buy our tour guide Mohssine, he was absolutely amazing! He had endless knowledge about Tangier, and his passion for it was infectious. We visited the old medina, visited various souks, cafe’s, walked around the narrow alleyways and had lunch at a beautiful restaurant (Vandalucia). Great food and service and the place was beautiful. Mohssine then arranged a taxi for us to go and visit the Cap Malabata Lighthouse which is close by to the point where the Mediterranean meets the Atlantic which was very cool. After the we headed to the Hercules Caves, I was able to capture the ‘Map of Africa’ shot from inside the cave which is a beautiful sight, well worth visiting!! I would recommend Mohssine for this tour, he really was fantastic! Gemma & Kevin

Great way to get to know the Old Medina Area! - Mohcine was so helpful with showing us around the Old Medina and market places in Tangier! We got to experience things that we definitely would not have been able to do like seeing the public ovens and trying fresh bread. We had so much fun that we decided to continue our journey to the Cave of Hercules and Cap Spatter. I definitely recommend this tour for anyone visiting Tangier for the first time:)
