As you drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area towards the Serengeti, marvel at the diverse wildlife and birdlife in the acacia-dotted savannah. Tanzania’s oldest and most popular national park, the Serengeti, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a recently proclaimed 7th worldwide wonder. The park is renowned for its annual migration, where over 200,000 zebras and 300,000 Thomson’s gazelles join the wildebeest’s trek for fresh grazing. Even when the migration is quiet, the Serengeti offers exceptional game viewing, with large herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephants and giraffes, and thousands of elands, topis, kongonis, impalas, and Grant’s gazelles.
