Highly recommend Julius & Dickson - Short Review: Be prepared for a very dusty and bumpy ride. Mask was helpful. Take something to protect your hair from dust. Carry good binoculars and a good camera. Be prepared for cold water showers. Wildlife viewing is perfect and unforgettable in Tanzania. Avoid Tarangire and Lake Manyara if you are short on time. Please tip the drivers and cook at the end of your trip.
Julius and Dickson (driver and cook) from Seven Wonders Safari (Partners of Budget Holiday Safari ) in Tanzania are experienced and they absolutely enjoyed their job. They were very relaxed and interacted in an extremely friendly way. They gave a personal touch by packing good food and having good and funny conversation throughout. I learnt how to slow down and not to worry too much. Julius took extra care not bothering the animals and keeping the animals and us safe.
Detailed review:
We reached Arusha after finishing Kenya and found that our hotel has been changed from Charity hotel to Gateway lodge. We did not like Gateway lodge as much. We were given 2 rooms. Breakfast was not great. One room had hot water and the other didnt. We managed fine since we had 2 rooms. An agent from 7 wonders (partners of BHS in Tanzania) briefed us about our Private tour in Tanzania. Next morning a driver arrived to pick us up. We went to Tarangire National Park. In Tanzania rules are very strict about off road driving inside the national park. We didn't see much on the day we visited and felt like it would have been fine skipping Tarangire. Best part of this day was lunch. We had the tastiest food on our whole trip. My kids had a lot of food after a long time. The driver had packed lunch which was prepared by a cook. After we were done with Tarangire we went to Fanaka lodge instead of Twiga campsite. This was also changed last minute. But thanks to the lodge guys who compensated by giving us a room instead of a tent. We were introduced to the cook Dickson who had made the lunch. To our surprise, we had a dedicated cook for our stay in Tanzania. Dickson took requests too. He would make changes if it was possible. The lodge had a pool. Kids were very happy to jump in and relax for a long time. It was a good change after sitting inside the vehicle for so many days. We had an elaborate dinner. Next morning we went to Lake Manyara which was very close to the lodge. We had a new driver Julius. Julius & Dickson stayed with us almost until the end of our Tanzania trip. Lake Manyara is a smaller national park with huge trees and a lake. Because of the huge trees it was impossible for us to see any animals other than baboons. We saw a small group of elephants. It was not very exciting after seeing a big group in Amboseli. We could have skipped Lake Manyara.
Next morning Julius and Dickson packed all the camping equipment (2 tents for us, 4 sleeping pads, 4 sleeping bags, food stuff) and we headed to Serengeti National Park for 2 days. What a Huge park! Amazing size and beauty. Since we visited in August, Wildebeest and Zebras had migrated to Masai Mara. Yet the park is very beautiful. We saw the most beautiful bird here. Lilac. So colorful, it looked like a painting. Julius showed us plenty of Elephants, Lions, Secretary Bird, Lilac, Zebra, Giraffe, plenty of hippos doing playfight, gazelle, cheetah, leopard, buffalo. One of the days we saw 3 huge groups of elephants. There might have been 50 elephants. We were surrounded by all the elephants. The elephants were near one of the waterbody. 2 of the groups had a minor fight as we witnessed. The other 2 groups embraced each other like a family. We spent about 1.5hours observing the elephants as they fought, had water, bathed and relaxed. It was an experience that can never be replicated in any zoo. Thanks to Julius for spotting the elephants and waiting patiently while we enjoyed observing. I would love to go back to Serengeti when all the animals are back. I am glad we booked a private tour in Tanzania, else it would have been impossible to enjoy the elephants so leisurely.
We stayed 2 nights in Seronera camp. No hot shower. First night we could hear some animal sounds at a distance but couldnt see anything. The second night around midnight we spotted multiple lions in the campsite. We stayed inside the tent quietly. The lions were right in front of our tent door. We could not believe the sight. This is an experience of a lifetime. Scary and memorable.
Next we moved on to Ngorongoro Crater. Not as many animals but a serene and beautiful place with many birds. We camped at Simba Campsite. Well established campsite. We had a group of buffaloes visiting our campsite early in the morning. There was no hot shower.
I highly recommend going with Julius and Dickson.

Excellent adventure with an outstanding guide and gourmet cook! - Simply put, Seven Wonder Safari was wonderful! Their communication and detailed information leading up to our safari was terrific. Our guides, Julius and Dickson are gentlemen. They are knowledgeable, gracious, organized and worked hard to get us to see all the animals and birds we wanted to see and more. Julius, who drove us, safely handled the Land Cruiser at all times. He got us to key locations to see the Big 5 and more. He was always respectful to the animals, explained things and answered all our questions. Dickson is an amazing cook who timely prepare healthy meals. Often we would see other guided groups eating sandwiches out of a cardboard box while we eat delicious food with ceramic plates and silverware. Our accommodations were excellent. I highly recommend Seven Wonders Safari and suggest you ask for Julius and Dickson if they are available.

3-day safari to Serengeti and Ngorongoro - We went on a 3-day safari to Serengeti and Ngorongoro with our tour guide Edward. We were able to see lots of animals, including a hunting lion, cheetahs, black rhino, etc. A professional guide is essential to finding animals in the wild because we have no clues where to find them. Our guide Edward is equipped with a good knowledge of animals and trees, which allowed us to fully experience the wildlife at the park. He besides is a good photographer. He helped us took lots of amazing pictures. He’s been helpful throughout the trip. Edward is a young and talented guide. Highly recommended.

Dream Safari Tour of Tanzania - I booked my Tanzanian safari tour through Seven Wonders Safaris and it has been a once in a lifetime experience. The rare and immense wildlife and natural beauty of the Serengetti, Lake Manyara and Ngorogoro Crater was incredible. The animal sightings are very special. Really, the whole tour from the safaris, the accomodation and food right through to the talented, knowledgeable and very helpful tour guides Juma and Hozza. I would highly recommend booking a Tanzanian Safari with Seven Wonders Safaris. 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

An amazing experience with our guide Hozza and chef Isaac - We did a 6 days camping group tour with our guides Hozza and chef Isaac from seven wonders (Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongo) in September 2022. We highly recommend booking a safari with them, we had an unforgettable experience, learned and saw so much!
Hozza was an excellent guide, a pro in finding the animals and very knowledgeable. Isaac was an amazing chef that prepared the best meals for us - even for lunch we didn't just have a lunch box but we had a variety of hot dishes every day. Hozza and Isaac are a great team that works very hard to take good care of the group. We saw all the amazing animals and landscapes and had a great time throughout the 6 days. Of course, you can never know beforehand what to see, but if you have a good and experienced guide like Hozza this will be a huge advantage.
Also beforehand, the booking process was smooth and Evelyn answered promptly any questions we had. The whole team was very helpful and ready to go the extra mile. When we got a small problem with our car on one day, Hozza arranged an alternative car for us in no time and it did not affect our safari at all.
I also liked the mix of accomodations they arranged for us: The first 2 nights we spent at a pretty basic accommodation (double room) at lake manyara village. The following 3 nights we spent at Serengeti / Ngorongoro camp sites. In my view it is the exact right amount of time for the 4 national parks (i have however read some reviews and met some people that were happy with a 4 day trip, but honestly, if you have time, I strongly recommend going a little longer to take it all in!) and camping is the perfect experience for being really close to amazing animals in the national parks - we had giraffes, zebras, buffalos and many more animals grasing closeby to our tents during the night, very peaceful and great experience!
I am still in awe of this experience and it will take a while to process all these great experiences.

All the animals - We were a group of 10 older ladies(60-70) we booked through African Ventures safaris in Kenya for a private tour Very surprised we were left to catch the public bus at the border to Arusha before we were met by 7 wonders safari. As communication with anyone in Africa is not easy no one reply’s to direct questions. Don’t know if it was 7 wonders were meant to pick us up.
The guide on my bus was Festo, absolutely excellent very considerate of our needs. Was careful of moving the jeep before we were safely sitting. Alway positioned the bus so we all had a great view.
Festo was a good driver missing the potholes and speed humps.
We were lucky to see all the animals up close, many by the side of the road and clearly visible.
One disappointment was the driver of the second Jeep Mark left on the 2nd last day because he was needed somewhere else. Why are we a lesser customer than someone else? This meant we missed our last day of a safari according to our itinerary. A village walk was substituted which was interesting.
Overall very good
