Safari with Meru Slopes. - We went on Safari with Meru Slopes Safari 6th - 8th July 2024. We visited Tarangire National Park, Ngorogoro Crater and Lake Manyara National Park. Our guide Daniel was fantastic. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and patient, giving us the time needed to take our photographs and videos. We couldn't have wished for a better experience. I cannot recommend Meru Slopes enough.

BEST OF THE BEST! - Patrick was our guide and we can't ask for more...he was perfect. Also, Gardi (I don't know how to spell it) was a perfect cook. Both of them made possible that our experience with Meru Slopes was really impressive. Asante sana!

Awesome 3 day safari with Meru slopes. - Our trip with Meru Slopes was perfect. Our guide and driver Patrick did a really great job. He was a very experienced and safe driver and impressed us with his off-road driving skills and with facts about not only the big five but also all the other animals that we saw. Our cook Joanne was also super nice and cooked the best meals. For all the gluten free people: he made the best gluten free pancakes I had in a while. It was perfect because he always had gluten free options for me so I didn’t feel like I had to miss out on the taste. We were really lucky with our three day safari because we saw all the big five and many other animals, which was great!! Coming back they offered us a free ride to Moshi which was also great. The safari with Meru slopes is definitely worth the money! Don’t hesitate to book with them!

Amazing - Absolutely amazing. Our guide noodles made sure we saw the big 5 and the ugly 5 at every park. Even though the lions seemed to be a little far, we saw everything. Ngorongoro was probably the best by far. Stunning, and breathtaking. At every park most the animals were up close. We spent the night at the lodge where we were sevrved with amazing dinner. Lunch was probably the best part of the day. High recommended.

Safari feast for eyes and stomach - 3 Days safari and 3 nights (2 at Jambo Lodge) and the third back at Arusha Tourist Inn. An extra night for twin sharing for two at the arusha tourist inn was 10 USD per pax. The Meru slopes tours also threw in free transfer to the airport on the last day because of our safari package - which saved us USD50/taxi - surprise and generous gift indeed. Mr Gabriel of Meru slopes also lent me a router because the inn room wifi was not reliable -he was most helpful and kind. the Arusha tourist inn is rated two stars , but really value for money - it is set in a private enclave so there is no traffic or strangers walking around. Very quiet except for the sound of call for prayers from nearby mosque. Walking distance (5mins) to market where you can buy backpacks, albeit preloved ones. (good travel bags are expensive here!! and limited in choice) Safari - starts with pickup from hotel by transport to the Tourist inn - 730am.. we set off when the number registered came.. 2 nights at Jambo lodge - a proper hotel with very clean n comfortable beds n toilets with hot water (may not be so hot). No mosquitoes or bugs. Excellent food provided by Rashid - who has had two years of culinary training - 5 star presentation and flavours . What a treat.. No boxed lunches - there was table cloth, hot drinks and nice plates n several dishes and fruits for all meals.. Generous servings too.. The meals in themselves were a safari experience of the best of Tanzanian cuisine . Be warned, you will put on weight.. The tour guide who also is the driver, Samuel, has very sharp vision for the animals and birds. I believe he was the first to spot our first pride of 4 lions in Tangaeire, among the many. This safari starts with breakfast at 8am at the lodge/inn and is quite leisurely. Great for those who love sleeping in proper beds, and private bathrooms and do not fancy looking at shadows of wild animals through the thin fabric of tents in the night or worry about the walk to the shared toilets in the night with such (? gentle) animals sharing the space. The best part of the safari - I think is the seemingly lack of fear of humans of these animals, and how beautiful the colours and how strange the shapes. Somehow they hide and stand out at the same time. A strange and wonderful paradox of life.

Amazing adventure! - We went on 3 day private Safari. Our guide's name was Iddi, he was amazing and he has done everything to feel ourselves happy and to see all that can be seen. We had followed a Rhino for a long time, we have seen a newborn Zebra and lots of animals. I recommend to visit Tarangire and Ngorongoro. Lake Manyara for us was not so special I'd rather went somewhere else. I highly recommend Meru Slopes as they are really very nice, helpful and the accomodations, food and service were all great! We had so much fun and it was a lifetime experience! Thanks for all!

Great days with Meru Slopes! - Experience was very good, everything well organized at a very good price! The drivers were always very open minded. We also did a community tour which was not planned but worth it! We paid 550 USD for three parks + community tour and good food, also had an free upgrade from tent to room in lodges. The lodge was quite basic but the people very friendly and good food. For Lake Manyara park be aware that it's hard to spot animal caused by the high bushes and few open fields... Tarangire and Ngorogoro are definitely a must do! Thank you for the great days!!
