James was intelligent and amazing. - James was amazing, his knowledge about the local culture and geography of Zanzibar was both interesting and extremely in depth. The tour had ample time to see everything and take a lot of great pictures. Since I was solo, it ended up being just us two, and I got to discuss topics about life in Zanzibar and asked many questions about the more personal side of life on the island. It was extremely fulfilling and exclusive to hear the nitty gritty things that most group tours would not cover. This type of knowledge you cannot read about; hearing it myself felt very exclusive and helped me learn much more about Zanzibar. When lunch came, I ended up going to a more local spot with James even though he made a recommendation to eat elsewhere; joining him felt more authentic and I really appreciated that during our tour. Added to the already close and introspective experience. Highly recommended.

Amazing trip - Very punctual and well organized. The trip was a private tour, so it’s very flexible to spend more time here and less time there depending on my preference. Every place I visited was so beautiful and memorable.

Amazing, Informative and Affordable - My husband and I really enjoyed this excursion! Our driver was amazing. The tour of Jozani Forest was incredible and our guide was really knowledgeable. You can tell the staff really enjoys their jobs. We don’t spend much time at Kuza Cave, but learning the history behind the cave was very interesting. The steps in the cave were really steep, almost scary. But once in the water it’s so refreshing. My husband was even able to play with the drummers at Kuza Cave. We only stayed at Paje Beach for about ten minutes, but would have loved to see move of it. There were a few interesting restaurants and many vendors selling locally made items. The water was nice and blue too, such a lovely sight. Our last stop was at the Rock Restaurant. There was the option to make reservations days before the excursion to eat at the restaurant or simply enjoy drinks and take in the amazing views. We opted to make a reservation and had two amazing dishes. The price for so much food was ridiculously inexpensive! I highly recommend this excursion, you will not be disappointed.

Wildlife, spectacular beaches, and great food. A seemless day out. - A fantastic day out, aided by excellent communication by the company via WhatsApp. They gave me information on how to reserve a table at the Rock (worth the hype), and meeting times within minutes of booking. The tour highlights was definitely the Jozani Forest where I was able to see a troop of Zanzibar Red Colobus at close quarters, as well as a large variety of other wildlife. Driver Khamis was helpful, punctual, and very friendly. Thank you!!

James was an excellent... - James was an excellent driver and guide. He took me all over the island and showed me some of the amazing parts of Zanzibar that some don't explore. He was a great driver and ensured that I was comfortable at all times.

Five out of five - a memorable day exploring Zanzibar - I specifically selected this Zan Dreamland Tours tour prior to arriving, as I had only a short stay in Stone Town / Zanzibar. James, my driver and guide for the 8-hour tour, went way above and beyond to ensure that I had a great experience, especially given I was a solo female traveler. Throughout the day, James shared his knowledge and passion for all things Zanzibar and Tanzania. At the Monkey Forest, James handed my “tour” over the to the parks formal guides and I joined a number of other people of a tour that was able to sight both red and blue monkeys as well as an elephant shrew. I must admit, our forest tour guide was very serious and of few words, but it was a good experience. James and I arrived at Kuza Cave, surprisingly to no tourist or other locals in attendance, We were blessed to have 45 minutes without any other visitors. Kuza Cave is truly magical, a hidden gem down a small entrance. One arrival at Paje Beach, I was stunned at the absolute beauty of the view, the water really is that blue and the sands are that white. James provided information on the local beach bios and general info of the area that is Paje Beach. I was able to have some time to walk along the beach prior to lunch. My preference was to eat local, and James was able to take me to a fabulous local diner, where I was kindly and warmly welcomed. Our final destination, the Rock did not disappoint. A genuine five-star review. At no time did I feel rushed, in fact James reminded me on a few occasions to 'pole pole'. I had booked other tours prior to arrival, and one of these I wished I had use James and Zan Dreamland Tours. James mentioned that this a relatively new company and I would highly recommend joining one of their tours!

Beautiful places to visit and experience - Jozani Forest walk with onsite guide was very informative. It was so hot that the swim in Kuza cave with onsite guide was very refreshing, rough rocks so good to wear shoes. Driver dropped us off at Paje beach, lovely to walk long way out on low tide but don’t linger out there as the tide comes in very fast. Dropped off at The Rock restaurant which was amazing to see. Our driver was very safe and courteous but was not a guide. Take money to tip the guides at Jozani and Kuza.

Worst experience ever! - First : about this tour. The driving 🚦 The driving was really bad Although this is not my first long ride in Zanzibar so I know some roads aren't that good But the driver was really bad that we suffered all the time that we were in the road, which caused us a headache. The police stopped us because he was speeding. Jozani forest: We saw monkeys and the tour was amazing and the guide were able to explain all the details about the forest for us. Kuza cave: The place is not worth visiting, and the guide left us there and said once you are done come back to the car! I also asked for a lifejacket but he didn't care much! He also didn't explained anything for us regarding the cave. Paje beach: The beach was nice. I hated the fact that the driver just dropped us there and said “once you are done come back to the car” it was really a bad experience, he didn’t give us any information about anything! Literally anything! He didn’t guide us to the lockers or a good restaurants there. Even when we asked he didn’t know! Same thing goes to the Rock He didn’t have any knowledge about it. Overall: we didn’t feel really save or taken care of in this ride, I don’t recommend it. Second: the destinations About the destination: I would recommend the rock and Jozani Forest.🌳
