Incredible experience - Incredible trip Tusker Trail is the key to that success. Incredible people.Well experienced guides. The equipment Tusker provided was very good quality. The cook and the food couldn't be better which is a very important part on the trek knowing that your appetite is affected. We ended the trip whit a safari. The organization was perfect. The lodge were unique. I would recommend Tusker Trail to everyone.

Perfect Kili Climb - My husband and I juste came back from Kili. We summited with a group of friend in February 2020. Our experience was amazing and everything was made possible because of the crew. We felt very safe going to the summit with the Tusker team, the medical check ups every day made sure everyone was ont track. The food was incredible. The best team on the mountain for sure!

Kili Climb - We selected Tusker Trail for our Kilimanjaro ascent based on a review of multiple outfits leading trips up the mountain. We clearly made the right choice. The guides were well trained and experienced on the mountain and made every effort to see to our safety and a successful ascent. The equipment (tents, air mattresses, hiking gear, clothing, etc.) Tusker provided was of good quality and enhanced our experience. Tusker made every effort to meet all of our needs. There were nine hikers in our group and Tusker provided 41 porters. When we came off the trail each day our camp was fully set up and we were provided with a sufficient selection and quantity of food in the mess tent. We had two health checks per day including a check of our oxygen saturation and heart rate and a series of questions relative to altitude problems. As a 74 year old cancer survivor with multiple joint replacements the odds of summiting would seem to be stacked against me, but with the additional support of Liberty, Abraham, Kessy and Stan my successful ascent/descent was assured. Kudos also go to Jaime, Mel and the other Tusker staff in the US for organizing our trip, including gorilla tracking in Uganda. They put together a wonderful safari for my wife while I was on the mountain and timed her return so she could meet me as I came off the mountain. We then traveled on to Uganda. My wife and I were completely pleased with our Africa experience with Tusker Trail.

Tusker Trail for the Win - My wife and I just got back from summiting Mt Kilimanjaro. It was a wonderful experience. I researched as best I could and ultimately chose to go with Tusker Trail and I'm glad I did. Totally top notch outfit. All equipment was in excellent shape, the food was delicious, and the tour guides were extremely professional and our health and safety was their number one concern. Small group size as well. We only had 3 in our group with 2 tour guides and something on the order of 20 porters. If you're planning on a Kilimanjaro trek, do yourself a favor and choose Tusker Trail. They are not the cheapest but you get what you pay for.

With Tusker, Kilimanjaro exceeded all expectations - Climbing with Tusker was the perfect choice for safety, food, comfort and all the little details. Our 21 support team for 3 clients shows their dedication and commitment to client needs. 100% summit success on our climb and a five-star rating. Simply the best on the mountain. Our guides made the climb such a positive experience and life-changing is an understatement. Tusker came through on every level. We highly recommend Tusker and we are planning a second adventure with them in Patagonia. We might even try every trek they offer. They are that good!

Outstanding Kilimanjaro experience - We chose Tusker based on the recommendation of friends who had used them to climb Kilimanjaro. Glad we did. First rate outfit. Good communication through entire process. Very professional. Very experienced guides and support staff that focus on safety and health first and summitting second. Excellent food throughout the climb. Highly recommend this company.

kili trek with tusker - I was fortunate enough to summit Kilimanaro on Oct 13 via the lamosho route. there were 7 of us and we all made it to the top with varying degrees of difficulty. Our guides and porters were amazing. We used Tusker trails and I cannot say enough how professional, friendly and wonderful they all were. We paid a little more for their expertise as we knew we did not want the cheapest our there. We met with rain, snow, cold, hail but it was still an amazing trek. One thing that really meant a lot to me was the connection I felt with the porters. They all called me "dada" meaning sister. I am an African American woman and i was amazed when they all told me how proud they were of me and that i was "like them." The women working at our hotel tried to converse with me to tell me the same thing. I felt incredibly touched by it all. We remained on the summit for 45 min or so before returning to a lower camp. I left in awe of how hard these folks work to give us our experience. Thanks for an amazing time.

Kilimanjaro with Tusker Trail based in California - Our family just finished (5 days ago - August 24, 2012) a 8 day trek (it was supposed to be 9 days but our group opted not to spend a night at Crater Camp) on the Lemosho route through Tusker Trail. To say it was fabulous would be an understatement - especially our three wonderful guides, Frances, Pastore, and Liberty (spellings are not quite correct), and their fabulous crew. We love you guys! Tusker cared for not only its clients but also its crew - their oxygen, etc were checked along with ours daily. When one of our porters was not feeling well, he got meds too. There were 36 guides and porters for our group of 7. We couldn't have done it without each of them. Safety was number one, summitting number two. The food was also wonderful - -who thought they would be serving corn fritters or spaghetti bolognese on the mountain? They taught us some Swahili, they made us laugh, and Albert (our wonderful chef) made my husband and I a cake of Africa as we were celebrating our 25th anniversary - and the crew sang us a song to boot. Tusker also provided us a guide while we were in Moshi - Calvin. He was great, knew where to go get things, took us to wonderful places to eat....and where to go watch the football game Chelsey and New Castle. Everything went smoothly from beginning to end! We'll be back to visit Tanzania!
