Additional Information

The Lemosho path is highly favored by us due to the minimal traffic, captivating panorama and its high success rates for reaching the peak. The trip begins from the west side, starting with a lengthy drive from Moshi to the Londorossi Gate. From this point, the initial two days will be used to trek through the dense and vibrant rainforest until reaching the Shira Plateau. We advise dedicating at least 7 days to conquer this path for optimal acclimatization and increased chances of reaching the peak. The Lemosho path merges with the Machame route just past the Shira 2 Camp, then follows the same route along the southern circuit, finishing at the Mweka Gate.

My amazing Kilimanjaro experience thanks to Bless Africa! - Bless Africa made my dream of reaching Uhuru Peak a reality! From my first contact with Bless Africa, I knew I’d found the right trekking company. Gody promptly replied to all my emails, answering every question I had. His expert guides, Mack and George, together with the other members of the climbing team, went above and beyond to make sure all members of the group I joined successfully reached the summit together. We were provided beautifully cooked three course meals and the porters had our new camp set up and ready for our arrival each day. This was the most challenging trek I have completed. It was also the most exhilarating and rewarding. I could not have done it without Gody and his Bless Africa team! When planning my next trip to Tanzania, my first email will be to Gody. I highly recommend Bless Africa for your Tanzania experience, be it climbing Kilimanjaro or a safari.

Just awesome! - We had a great time on the Kili. Even planning with “Gody” was very straightforward. His answers were always very timely. Our guides “Eli” and “George” were very professional and we got along really well. Our chef “Elia” has conjured up the best menus for us! In general, the whole crew was great! The landscapes and views were simply breathtaking. We would both choose Bless Africa again. Everything was just right. Thank you very much for this experience!

Awesome experience with great people - Me and my friend had a great experience with Bless Africa tours. The communication on WhatsApp with Gody before the start of our trip was flawless, the responses we got to our questions were within minutes. The service provided to us during the route on the Kilimanjaro was excellent, our camp was ready way ahead of us, the food was great and fuelled us for every hike we had to complete. The team was full of happy vibes and everyone was super kind and helpful. We did not feel uncomfortable for one bit (am mentioning this only for other only-girl groups who are considering to book a trip). Our guides Frank and Timothy helped us to summit and really, really dragged us up there and we are confident to say that without them we wouldn’t have made it all the way up there. We had a great experience with Bless Africa, we are happy about the pricing and we would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to book a trip to the Kilimanjaro.

Best company for Mt Kili - We had an amazing time with BlessAfrica and would recommend this company to anyone. Gody helped us with everything, we came unprepared and rented everything from shoes to jackets. Gody was always available to answer any questions beforehand and super flexible. We loved our guides Frank and Timothy. All our porters were amazing especially Isaiah and Richard. They set up the tents perfectly and always choose the best spots on the campsites compared to other companies. As two young girls, we felt very comfortable in their presence and well looked after. Everyone was so respectful and supportive. We would obviously not have reached the top if it wouldn’t have been for our guides who sang the whole night and carried our backpacks at the end. We learned to much on this trip and will always cherish it. Big plus is that the guides and porters said that BlessAfrica is a great company to work for. We felt great going with a locally owned company and felt we got so much more than other companies were providing even for much higher prices. We feel this company is also the best option ethically and staff are also treated well. P.s. the toilet we got was the best one compared to all the other companies.

Very good experience with Bless Africa - The experience of the Machame route with Bless Africa to climb Kilimanjaro was magnificent. Their entire team is very professional and they are nice people. Without the advice and help of their two excellent guides, McDonald and Joaquin, we would not have been able to climb Kilimanjaro the day we left at midnight. Their cook Joseph cooked us a very good and nutritious meal to successfully face the great physical effort. The day after the Machame route we went on a safari through Tarangire National Park, a park with baobab trees and many elephants and lions (which we saw very close). The guide we had, Shirima, was very professional and knew well where to find the animals. Bless Africa proved us a good Tanzania experience¡

Most amazing trip - Bless Africa was better than we could have ever imagined. They were extremely responsive, answering all our pre-trip questions and handled everything from picking us up at the airport, to making sure we had all the proper gear. Once we were on the mountain, they made the trip so fun, made us feel safe and did everything to ensure we got to the top (we all summited!). The food was so beyond delicious (and accommodated our numerous dietary restrictions), the guides were so thoughtful, kind and knowledgeable, and the whole team was so caring, fun and capable. We had an extra day at the end and Bless Africa offered to take us on a one-day safari to Tarangire National Park. Again, we were blown away by how seamless they made the whole experience, tailoring it to our timeline and needs. The park was beautiful, and we were able to see so many animals - leopards, elephants, giraffes, lions, and more, despite only being there for a relatively short period of time for a safari. Overall, Bless Africa’s kind, thoughtful service made this trip absolutely amazing. I feel so much love for this team!! They were beyond fantastic.

Once in a lifetime! - Once in a lifetime. For 20 years I have talked and dreamed of this climb of Kilimanjaro, it was the goal at 50 years to make this experience and it was totally worth it. Through a positive experience report from other Swiss I came across Bless Africa Tours and decided to book directly with this organizer on site in Moshi. Everything was perfect from A-Z, from the transfer from the airport to the hotel to the summit day and back. The sun has accompanied us 7 days, the stars seven nights and throughout a good mood in the group. Walking through the different vegetation zones with many photo stops and competent explanations about flora, fauna, history and local culture by my super guide Mack made this trek a uniquely educational experience, which I can highly recommend. Our group always chose a quiet, secluded campsite where it was easy to rest, eat and sleep. The food was excellent, the private toilet always clean, the service great and generally impressive the performance of all from guide to cook to especially the porters, who do a hard and not harmless work, thank you all. The daily stages are well chosen for the acclimatization and recovery, the final climb is hard and a huge relief when you reach the crater rim, the last meters to Kibo are then pure emotion, the dream landscape, the rising sun above the sea of clouds, the shining glaciers and eyes of the climbers let you forget the cool temperatures, you are like in a trance, unfortunately, the duration on the summit is limited because of the height and health. My guide Mack got to know my condition very well during the first few days and led me safely to the summit, brought his experience and without his help it would certainly have been difficult. He briefed me every night and checked my health. I can absolutely recommend Bless Africa Tours and who knows maybe I will come back with the family, not to Kilimanjaro but to Mt. Meru with safari.

Dream come true - Summiting Kilimanjaro - We joined the 7-day Lemosho Route tour and it is definitely a dream-come-true experience! We are super grateful to have this excellent team from Bless Africa Tours who helped us so much during the whole journey. Without them, we definitely could not make it to the top. Our guides, Danson and Joachim, are so professional and experienced that they knew what is most important to ensure a safe & success summit. They gave very useful briefing to us every night, especially the one before our summit night, which was so reassuring and encouraging that ease our worries. Danson set a perfect slow but constant pace for us so that we could keep going without any high altitude symptoms. Joachim and Somi (one of our porters who accompanied us for the summit) kept saying encouraging slogans and even sang & danced on our way up to help us remain awake & motivated! At last, we were able to reach Uhuru Peak early and watched the perfect sunrise from the peak! On the other hand, our chef, John, did an incredible job to make lots and lots of delicious foods despite in the wilderness! I particularly love his soups which helped us to keep warm at night! Obeid, the waiter, is such a gentle and pleasant guy. He served us well and made our stay comfortable, we had never expected to have hot water for washing every morning and evening! Jackson who took care of our private toilet also did a great job. A clean private toilet was very important especially at night time! Lastly, I would like to thank the whole team of porters including Obeid, Somi, Jackson, Elly, Innocent, Anderson and Elly Mbise as they’re the real hero! They always set our tents in the best location next to the start of the trail of the next day, and this is really helpful especially for the summit night! Despite their tiring and hard work, they always gave us a warm greeting with a large smile on the face whenever they saw us. They welcomed us with songs and dance when we returned from the summit, making that one of the most touching and memorable moments as I saw them sharing the happiness and excitement with us. We are so grateful to have this amazing team and we have nothing to complain. We would definitely recommend Bless Africa to everyone who wish to have an unforgettable experience in Kilimanjaro!

Successful summit at 64 y.o. - The guides and porters made the hike to the summit possible and made it fun. Even this 64 year old who does not climb mountains succeeded thanks to excellent guides. If I did it again I would use a Camelback for water.

Highly recommend Bless Africa - I booked the Lemosho route trek with Bless Africa, and couldn't have been happier with the trip and the entire experience! At the office and before/after the trip, Gody the owner is very kind, organized, and professional. On the mountain, the whole support crew did an incredible job to make sure I was always comfortable: my guide, Thomas, was so positive, warm-hearted and was a joy to be around while also teaching me so much; Joseph, the chef, made delicious fresh food with huge portions so I always had more than enough to eat; and Hashim, the waiter, along with the rest of the porter crew were all so nice, friendly, and attentive - I felt so spoiled! I also was able to do a 2-day safari with Bless Africa to see both Tarangire NP and Ngorongoro Conservation Area. So glad I was able to add this in as I was able to see so many different animals I've never seen before. My guide on the sarafi was extremely knowledgeable and experienced and I was able to learn so many new things about wildlife as well as about Tanzania in general. All in all, if you're looking for positive and professional experience on Mt. Kili & beyond, Bless Africa is an amazing choice! Even better that they're family-owned and local to Moshi!
