Lemosho Route

A unique 9 day itinerary has been tailored for those intending to climb Kilimanjaro via the Lemosho route with a desire to reach the summit during daylight hours, as well as at sunrise. This journey will take you through beautiful landscapes may offer sightings of the Great Rift Valley and Mt Meru, along with a camping possibility at the crater.

Although the Lemosho route could be completed in a minimum of six days (five nights) on the mountain, it’s favorably achieved over eight days (seven nights) to facilitate a more successful acclimatization to the altitude. The adventure starts at the Londorossi Gate, situated on the mountain’s fertile, lush western base amongst the rainforest. The path leads across the Shira Plateau, then proceeds around the southern circuit en route halfway around the mountain, offering stunning views from various vantage points. Summit approach is from the east, while descent follows the Mweka trail. The route offers much visual appeal.
