Kilimanjaro National Park - After breakfast, you will be picked up at the hotel around 8:00 am and transferred to Lemosho gate, located on the western side of Kilimanjaro. After arriving at Lemosho gate, Nafika tours will handle all pre-hike formalities and once complete you will start your Kilimanjaro climb. Your first day hike is through the forests of the Lemosho glades to reach Big Tree Camp where will stay your first night.

The majority of our clients climb Kilimanjaro using the Lemosho route and their feedback on this route is excellent. We highly recommend the Lemosho route to our clients. The climb begins at Lemosho Gate at an altitude of 2360 meters, with a western approach. It then circles around Kilimanjaro to the south, passing through majestic rainforest, home to some of the region’s most unique wildlife. The route continues up to Shira Ridge; the mountain’s third summit.

Amazing Kilimanjaro Experience - Nafika Tours did an excellent job at communicating and provided a great experience for my tour to Kilimanjaro. From the time my plane landed to the time I took off it was easy and enjoyable experience.
While hiking the local guide and team helped me overcome the altitude. We ended up having a lovely morning at the top and had met some interesting people along the way.

Unforgettable experience with Nafika Tours - We booked an 7-day Kilimanjaro climb on the Lemosho Route and a 6-day safari with Nafika Tours, and both were incredible experiences. From the initial booking to the actual trip, the entire process was perfect.
Elias promptly answered all our questions during the booking and preparation phases (and we had many). For the climb, we had two amazing guides, Alyce and Daniel, along with a fantastic team of porters.
They made our trek as comfortable as possible, attending to all our needs, providing great meals, setting up camp in prime spots, and offering lots of encouragement along the way. A special mention goes to Alyce, Daniel, and one of the porters, Frank, who accompanied us to the summit. Without them, we couldn’t have made it.
When we transitioned to the safari, Nafika Tours maintained the same high standards. Our guide, Said, was very knowledgeable about the wildlife and the local culture, patiently answering all our questions while tolerating us taking a million pictures of everything that moved! The lodges we stayed in and the food provided were top-notch.
We would recommend this company ten times over they gave us an unforgettable experience in Tanzania.

Unforgettable Adventure with Nafika Tours - Last month, we climbed Kilimanjaro via the Lemosho Route (7 days), and it was breathtakingly beautiful and scenic. After comparing a few local and international tour operators, we decided to go with Nafika Tours, and I’m so glad we did. The entire experience was outstanding, and I would wholeheartedly recommend Elias and his team.
Elias was incredibly responsive, answering all my many questions over email, and his thorough responses reassured me that they were true professionals. From the camping and food arrangements to their environmental practices and the medical expertise of the team, everything was handled with care and precision.
A key thing to note: ensure that your guides are medically trained. We had health check-ups every morning and a lung test every night. We also started taking Diamox from day one, which really helped us avoid serious altitude sickness and made the climb much more manageable.
The guides were exceptional. They knew the mountain inside and out, constantly ensuring we were safe and making progress. Their support, both physical and emotional, was invaluable—I genuinely couldn’t have reached the summit without them.
Climbing Kilimanjaro was the toughest but most rewarding experience of my life, and I’m incredibly glad we chose Nafika Tours to help us get to the top!

Best Kilimanjaro local Company - It’s no surprise that Nafika Tours consistently receives 5-star reviews. If you’re looking for the best company to guide you to the top of Africa, look no further.
Nafika Tours offers the best organization, guides, food, and overall experience for climbing Kilimanjaro. From the start, the communication and itinerary were clear, and Elias, the owner, personally guided us through every step along with Inocent, the lead guide. Their passion and genuine interest in providing an exceptional experience were clear from the beginning. They were professional, honest, and thorough in all aspects of the journey.
We also used Nafika Tours for a fantastic two-day safari, which exceeded all our expectations.
For the Kilimanjaro summit, I rented a high-quality duffel bag and sleeping bag, both of which kept me warm during the chilly nights. Innocent and Lodgard our guides, were outstanding. They were attentive to all our needs and conducted daily medical checks. During the difficult summit push, they even helped carry my pack.
The food was incredible! I expected basic meals, but they accommodated all dietary preferences, including vegan, vegetarian, and lactose-intolerant options, while still catering to meat eaters. Every meal was delicious.
The portable toilet was a wonderful luxury, and the hard-working porters ensured it was always ready by the time we arrived at camp.
While many tour companies may offer good guides and porters, Nafika Tours felt like family. They treated us with the utmost kindness and attentiveness, making the 7-day trek comfortable and memorable.
The daily briefings were clear and informative, and the views at the campsites were simply breathtaking. Every effort was made to ensure our comfort throughout the trip.

Best team for a tour on the Kibo 😊 - We had an unforgettable adventure with our guides Eli and Goodchance and our team (Jonason, Frank, Risiki, Patrick, Erik and Sulupis). Communication in advance with Elias and during our trip with the team was always perfect and there was nothing wrong. On the mountain we were well looked after, fed and informed. We had complete confidence at all times, were briefed daily and our health was checked. With a lot of love the food was freshly prepared daily and it was always very delicious!
The support of the guides until the summit was always there and did well. We got to learn a lot from them!
Together with the team we could laugh a lot and experience unforgettable moments!
We are glad to have chosen a local provider with Nafika Tours and would definitely choose Nafika Tours again for this adventure!

Kilimanjaro Hike and Safari with Nafika Tours. - I climbed Kilimanjaro and went on a safari in early July, and it was one of the greatest experiences of my life. Nafika Tours was very professional from the start, providing reliable communication and all the necessary information before our trip.
Their professionalism continued throughout the journey, and it was clear that the guides had carefully planned each day. Honestly, I have no complaints at all! It was a great hike and safari with an awesome staff.

Kilimanjaro hike with the local People - In July 2024, I hiked the 7- day Lemosho Route with Nafika Tours. The team took excellent care of us throughout the journey. The guides were incredibly knowledgeable about mountain conditions, altitude sickness, and all aspects of the hike.
Moreover, they were attentive to our well-being, closely monitoring our health and how we were feeling during the entire hike. This attentiveness allowed them to take quick and appropriate action to treat any symptoms we experienced. The chefs were outstanding, consistently providing more food and drink than we could consume.
Thanks to this amazing team, all six members of my group made it to the summit. I truly believe that we couldn't have achieved this without their support.

Excellent Authentic Experience with Nafika Tours - 7 Day Lemosha Route, and Three Day Safari to the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater with Nafika Tours.
If you are looking for the best, most authentic, and welcoming experience in Tanzania, then book with Nafika Tours.
In late June and early July, a group of 12 of us took a trip to Tanzania and had the best 2 weeks imaginable.
The pre-trip organization and planning with Elias went without a hitch. We were greeted at the airport and driven to Panama Garden Resort , which is about an hour away in Moshi. The accommodation was very good.
Our three day safari was fantastic, we were in 2 Toyota Landcruisers. We were fortunate to see the 'Big Five' and so much more wildlife.
The next morning we were greeted by the lead guides Eli and Abdullah from Nafika. They made sure we had all the essential gear and took us to a rental shop for items we didn't have. The next morning we were picked up and taken to the Lemosha gate which was an hour away.
Right from the first day of the hike the guides, cooks and porters were so friendly and welcoming. We had health checks every night, the camp was always set up when we arrived, breakfast, lunch and dinner were superb and one lunch was hamburgers with hot chips - just what you felt like!
Our guides were amazing and led us to a challenging, but incredibly rewarding summit day. We were so thankful to have them and the porters support!
Elias and Nafika Tours made it so easy to book our trip, then safari and climb. Everything was booked and taken care of for us. So if you are going to Tanzania, support a local company that provide work for local people - you won't be sorry.
10/10 experience and would recommend Nafika Tours to everyone visiting Tanzania

5 stars for Nafika - Nafika tours went above and beyond to ensure we made it to the top safely. Elias has hired an exceptional team who are enthused to give you the best possible experience. We were blown away with how good our dealings with the company were.
