Beyond our wildest dreams. - Justin was our expert guide for 6 incredible days in Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Caldera, and the Serengeti. His knowledge of the wildlife and trails was incredible. His driving was expert and careful, in no way reckless. Yes, we saw migrating wildebeests, zebras, elephants, black rhinos, hippos, cheetahs, baboons, warthogs, impalas, gazelles, velvet monkeys, hyenas, jackals and more! Justin was able to point out 57 varieties of birds, including the lilac breasted roller and the martial eagle, which was thrilling to us as novice birders. His kindness and appreciation of the environment made our highly anticipated trip exceed our dreams.

Great Guides - Duma Explorer helps us arrange our trip into Ngoronngoro Crater and hiking from Empakai to Lake Natron. Stacy’s responded quick to our questions. Justin was not only a great driver and seemed to anticipate the movement of animals so we could be in great position for viewing animals. Jamal’s positive energy and ability to cater to our vegetarian diet was appreciated. Would use Duma again without hesitation.

Ngorongoro Highlands Hike - We went on Duma’s 4 day hike in the Ngorongoro Highlands and it was AMAZING! Our guides, Justin and Jamali, cooked wonderful meals, shared cultural insights and took great care of us. It was the best guided hiking tour! We loved it ❤️

Wonderful wilderness walking tour - I can’t say enough good things about this experience. The trip was well organized, responsive to our group’s needs, and fun! Our guides, Justin and Jamali were two of the best guides I have had in my years of traveling. They were a delight to spend the week with and were knowledgeable, flexible and chill. From Jamali’s soups & bread to Justin’s guidance, we felt very well cared for. We are so grateful to have had this experience and would recommend it to anyone.

Experience of a lifetime. 1 Day Kilimanjaro & 7 Day Safari - We did 1 Day Kili hike and 7 day Safari tour in Tarajaire, Ngorongoro and Siringeti. We had an amazing, unforgettable experience. Our safari driver Masangi was great, very experienced. we stayed 2 nights at the Oliver's camp, every staff member made sure we had an enjoyable & safe experience. Food provided at Oliver's was delicious high quality food. My special thanks to the chef who talked to us and made special spicy Indian food. Would love to visit and stay at the same camp in the future. We stayed at Ngorongoro crater lodge one night, beautiful place, however they hurried us during dinner as we have arrived there late. Also the box lunch provided was very disappointing. We stayed at Siringit Migration camp 2 nights. The staff there was amazing, food was great, our family had an amazing time.

Exceptional tour guide! - Wow! Amazing! Our fantastic private guide gave us the experience of a lifetime. He was so knowledgeable about the wildlife including animal behaviors of each animal and how they interact with each other. He was warm, welcoming and good natured. Additionally, he was tireless in providing many, many hours of exploring both the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Parks. Can't rate highly enough!

Can't Miss Tanzania Trek - This was a trip of a lifetime, which I took at the end of a 3- year job living in Dar es Salaam. It was the perfect way to say goodbye to a country I love. The geography of descending out of the Ngorogoro Highlands into the Great Rift Valley is indescribable. You feel so profoundly connected with the landscape. Walking by foot gives you a deep appreciation of the environment, but Duma Explorers takes care of all the creature comforts with running the campsite. My boys are 3 and 6, but I can't wait until they are old enough for us to travel and do this trek as a family. Can't recommend more highly!

Amazing Site Seeing (even in Covid era) - Absolutely amazing. Duma Explorers helped arrange the full experience from arrival at Arusha Airport - hotel, safari, COVID tests (ugh), etc. The trip was just fabulous. Our guide - Kawage - couldn't have been better. Unbelievably knowledgable about every plant, animal, cultural fact (he has been doing it 20 years so not surprising). He was super kind - we had a family of 5 so traveling with kids always requires a little more patience and he was perfect. What was really amazing was his eyes!!! As we toured the parks he could spot little grey dots in the distance and sure enough, look through the binoculars and there was a Rhino (very rare in the parks) - or a tiger sleeping in a tree - or an albino baboon ---- he did it over and over. Amazing. Ask him about any bird, flower, tree, etc (and there are a TON) and he would tell you what it is, grab the guide book, and voila there was the pic and description. Truly a once in a life time adventure!

AMAZING TREK WITH DUMA EXPLORER! - What a truly amazing trek this was! I did this with my 7 year old daughter and the memories will last a lifetime. Duma Explorers is the only travel company I would use in Tanzania! They are fantastic! The communication with the owner, Stacy, is seamless. The guides are friendly and became family by the end of our trip. Everything was above any expectations I had. I highly recommend this trek if you want a little taste of everything. We were able to do two safari drives at the beginning and end of the trek. The trekking is beautiful and passing thru the Maasai villages and seeing the Maasai people go about their daily life was fascinating. We ended with a hike up Lengai which was amazing- but difficult. This was such a fun adventure!
