Choose a private trip, choose a safari with a guide - We were on an 8-day trip with Emmanuel John Kihaira. For us – he “made the trip – a great experience!” Pleasure of his speech, peace of mind, a lot of patience he revealed to our grandson (the trip was for him) - make the trip pleasant In a special way. We kept laughing on the long roads of this great and amazing country. His vast knowledge of the places we visited, the animals, the people and the various tribes enriched us and opened us a corner we did not know. His ability to recognize animals — even from far away — led us to see the diversity of animals in the parks. He even pointed to a tiger that we were able to see before the tiger ran away and disappeared. In Bangoringo he identified a painted hunter after an antelope and brought us to the chase for a really small distance.

Roy Safaris, an excellent company for photographers - My recent safari experience, organized by Nikhil Bahl, and with Roy Safaris was an outstanding experience. The three guides, Mannie, Allen and Frank went above and beyond every day to be sure we were in the right place at the right time. Their knowledge of the animals and their different environments, their kindness and excellent service all made this particular adventure the best. The three were well suited to guide a photography group and they were eager to learn from Nikhil, our professional photographer from the States.

9 day safari tour through 4 Tanzanian Parks - Having been on an Africa safari 8 years ago within a different country, Roy Safari absolutely outdid any experiences I previously had. They are an amazing company to work with from start to finish. Our guide, Eric, was the absolute Best guide and person we could have ever had. Thank you Eric for your kindness, support, adventures on the roads and knowledge of the 4 regions we were in, which included Tarangire, Ndutu, Ngorongoro and Serengeti. Every animal, bird, and tidbit of information was found, named and discussed to make our adventure fun-packed and meaningful. Accommodations were all beautiful and comfortable. I have already passed on contact info of the Roy Safari company to a friend, adding Eric's name to my recommendation. Thank you again for a wonderful experience in your wonderful country.

Excellent - Roy Safari did a fantastic job on our 10 day tour of 4 parks in Tanzania. We had Eric as our guide who has over 30 years of experience. He had a 6th sense for finding animals that we would never have seen. I will be going back!

Africa - a once in a lifetime trip & so much more than we could have ever dreamed of :) - We had so many close encounters with lots of different animals. Close enough to reach out & touch - but, of course, we didn't!! We were close enough to the big 5 to get good photos. We saw animals in many different settings, so got to observe them do what they do! The housing provided offered quite the experiences - all good! We stayed in the animals back (or front) yards - no fences! The food served to us was delicious & way to much, lol, but we did out best to consume all the prepared food including fresh local produce! The weather was perfect - some hot days, some rain, but the animals didn't care about the weather! The 2 guides were excellent drivers. I don't know how they manage to navigate out there - when a road is washed out/closed, they find the alternate ones. Our guides are well known & liked (Erick must have known everyone out there by name!!) & communicate with other guides to find the animals that are harder to find & then they get us there to see them! We saw a brilliant full rainbow with such vibrant colors & animals everywhere - Noah's Ark! I now know what is at the end of a rainbow - zebras at one end & wildebeests at the other (much better than a pot of gold!). Erick has so much knowledge of the animals, including birds, the vegetation, & people of Tanzania; he willingly answered all our questions and shared his insights & stories (of course we believed everything he told us - until he burst out laughing!!). The other couple in our jeep agree that Erick was awesome & we miss being around him after 11 days together; it was hard to say goodbye. We went through Elite Travel & Susan Reinkens. She has done this trip 4 times now. She requested Manny (Emmanual) as a guide & he requested Erick Mpangala to work with him - we are so grateful to get to know them both! We will be talking about & remembering this trip for a loooong time!

Amazing safari experience with Frank from Roy safaris - We did a safari with Roy safaris and had Frank as a tour guide. He was INCREDIBLE. Frank made the 7 day trip truly magical. He was so attentive, so knowledgeable, always offering interesting anecdotes and facts about the places we were in, animals we saw, and so much more. We are so glad we lucked out with him as our guide, and recommend that anyone doing a safari in Tanzania request him.

Roy Safari with Simon as the guide - I was hesitant to go on a Safari. I thought being outdoors would not be my kind of trip. My husband and I went with my brother and his wife. It was an experience of a lifetime! It’s still so hard to wrap my mind around everything we saw. We were blessed with the BEST guide whose name is Simon. He speaks English! I recommend that you request him when you go on a Safari with Roys Safari. He was very knowledgeable about all the animals and told us their names and their habits. Simon was a lot of fun and has a great personality. He found us the big five. Lions, leopards, Cape buffalo, elephants and Rhinos. Every day we saw lions, sometimes as many as 20 in one group. We saw baboons, lots of hippopotamuses, giraffes, zebras. The highlight of the trip was watching the migration of the wildebeest crossing the Mara river. Simon got us a spot right next to where they were crossing the river. The wildebeest were within a couple of feet of our Safari vehicle. Simon also got us within a couple of feet of a large pride of lions. Twice he found us lions who had just killed a zebra and were eating it. We saw leopards in trees napping. Cheetahs and a female lion that were hunting and chasing their prey. I enjoyed the hippo 🦛 ponds. The giraffes were my favorite. They are so graceful and beautiful. They are the national animal of Tanzania. Everyday I woke up excited for the days adventure. The camps we stayed in were staffed with wonderful people who fed us well and were so helpful. Tanzania is a beautiful country.

Trip of a lifetime - Roy’s Safaris did an outstanding job of arranging our safari. They handled all the trip details including our flight arrangements from Iringa. The custom safari vehicles were well maintained which was reassuring as we encountered several broken from other companies during our trip. Our driver/guide Simon was extremely knowledgeable about Tanzania, its culture, and its wildlife. Simon was very skilled at locating birds and animals throughout our safari using his well honed skills along with also working closely with other drivers. We had the opportunity to view lions, cheetahs, leopards, black rhinoceros, elephants, hippos , hyenas jackals, all grazing animals, and numerous birds. Would highly recommend Roy’s Safaris

Game viewing Tanzania - It met all our expectations. Roy Safaris and the MD - Sanjiv Pandit- ensured we had a memorable trip to the Game parks from Arusha. We were picked up from Nairobi on time. Very good roads from Nairobi to Arusha. Had 1/2 a day sighseeing in Arusha before leaving the next morning for Tarangiri, Ngorongoro Crater & Serengeti over the following days. Drove upto the Mara River in Serengeti to see the wilderbeast migration. A must on any itenerary. Our guide - Eric- is one of their senior guides with over 20 years experience. A Gentleman and an excellent guide. He made our safari memorable. Some day drives were long but OK for adults. For Children in tow, I would recomment internal flights within the game parks. Roy Safaris were extremely flexible and will tailor (with recommendations) to your needs. We flew from Kogatende airfield near the Mara River to Zanzibar. All organsied by Roy Safaris inc sending some of our suitcases on Zanzibar without having to lug them around. I would recommend Roy Safaris for planning a trip to any game parks in Tanzania
