Selous Game Reserve - Depending on your flight schedule, you can fly from Dar es Salaam in 45 minutes or from Zanzibar in 1 hour to Selous Game Reserve. Upon arrival at the airstrip in Selous, a driver guide will greet you and take you to the lodge. On the way, you’ll have your first glimpse of this remarkable and diverse reserve. Enjoy lunch and a siesta before heading out for an afternoon game drive to witness the stunning sunset. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Full Game Drive in Selous Game Reserve
Selous Game Reserve - After your first night in Selous, wake up early to the sounds of nature and breathtaking views from your room (“banda”). Start your day with a quick cup of tea or coffee, then embark on a full-day game drive and an exciting boat safari on Lake Tagalala as dawn breaks. Experience the thrill of having your packed breakfast amidst the large hippo pods, crocodiles, and incredible birdlife on the lake. Return to the lodge for a late lunch and relax by the pool or visit the lodge’s tree house and water hole for the rest of the day, the choice is yours (Packed breakfast, L, D).

Walking Safari in Selous National Reserve
Selous Game Reserve - Walking safaris in this magnificent reserve offer the opportunity to explore the surrounding area and discover the smaller flora and fauna often overlooked during a game drive. Enjoy a visit to the tree house on your way back to the lodge to see if any wildlife is drinking at the waterhole. Return to camp for a late breakfast before relaxing around the lodge or at the spring water swimming pool. After lunch, visit a nearby Maasai village, home to Saita, the village chief and a long-time friend of Sable. This close relationship with Saita ensures a genuine experience, often including Saita as a guide explaining the traditional uses of various indigenous plants in the area. Afterwards, return to the lodge for your final night.
