- Tarangire National Park - Your tour starts with you being picked up at your hotel/ airport around 7:30 am and then heading south to the stunning Tarangire National Park. After the drive which may take you about 2 hours you will arrive at the Tarangire National Park for game viewing. Explore the park and admire its flora, including the baobab trees, and take unique photos of the animals. Keep an eye out for the rare birds such as the yellow-collared lovebirds and the myriad of further bird life before you pause for a picnic lunch.
Your afternoon game-drive will reveal all the wonders of Tarangire, with the highest number of elephants in the whole of the northern Tanzania parks, exceeding Lake Manyara and Serengeti. There have also been an estimate of 550 bird species recorded there, making it a great attraction for any bird lover.

A trip to Arusha is not complete without a visit to Tarangire National Park, one of the largest in the region. Spend a day exploring this destination, home to a wide variety of wildlife—especially during the dry season, when the park is a favorite spot for thousands of migrating animals. The big numbers of elephants, wildlife migration, baobab trees (these grow in the open acacia) in addition to the tree climbing African pythons give wonderful sightings. One of the key attractions that have made the Tarangire to become internationally popular is its largest elephant population which in fact is considered to be the highest in the whole of Tanzania. During the dry season you will see numerous large elephant herds of about 300 individuals per herd digging the dry riverbed of Tarangire River in search for underground streams of water to quench their thirst.
