• Tarangire National Park - After breakfast, our professional tour guide/driver will meet you and provide a brief safari information session. We then head east to Tarangire National Park. Inside the park, we’ll have a picnic lunch and embark on two thrilling game drives, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, along the Tarangire River. In the late afternoon, we will depart for Arusha, concluding our safari adventure.

Tarangire National Park boasts the highest concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti ecosystem, making it a haven for predators. It’s the only place in Tanzania where you can regularly spot dry-country antelope like the elegant fringe-eared Oryx and the unique long-necked gerenuk. The landscape changes dramatically between the wet and dry seasons. In the dry season, the river dwindles to a mere shadow of its wet season self, but it teems with wildlife as thirsty nomads travel hundreds of kilometers, assured of finding water here.

Tarangire’s elephant herds are easily spotted year-round, and the swamps, which remain green throughout the year, are home to 550 bird species—the highest number of breeding species in a single habitat anywhere in the world. And while you’re here, don’t forget to look up! Tarangire’s pythons, as well as its lions and leopards, climb trees, often found in the branches of Baobab Trees. The fruit of the sausage tree helps conceal the flick of a tail.
