A dream stay - Thanks to Geofrey for organizing a perfect safari for us, he was able to meet all our criteria as well as the requested lodges, and I would like to leave a little note to our guide Didas who was exceptional, the best guide and who speaks very well French as requested!! Despite a short stay of 4 days, we were able to see the BIG 5 and many other animals. Best GUIDE, who was able to explain everything to us, and told us several anecdotes. An unforgettable experience. I 100% recommend Meru Slopes Tour, we couldn't have dreamed of better ❤️

4 Day Camping Safari to Serengeti and Ngorogoro with Maru River Crossing - We had a lovely 4 day camping Safari trip around the Serengeti and Ngorogoro. Our experienced guide Mudy managed to find us all 5 of the big 5, including the elusive black rhino in Ngorogoro, and we got to witness the incredible Maru river crossing in the Northern Serengeti. Our excellent ‘stomach engineer’ Gadi made sure we were well fed every step of the way with no shortage of good vegetarian grub! The tour operator, Geofry, did an excellent job of making sure that everything happened just as promised including airport transfers, etc, and we felt very well looked after. We booked directly through Meru Slopes website and had no trouble with this. For anyone wondering about the practicalities, we would recommend the camping experience. The public campsites are predictably basic, but cater for all the essentials including toilets, showers, dining, and cooking facilities. Simba campsite even had a little shop, and hot water. The campsites are open, but we never felt in any danger. We had a lovely experience at Simba campsite where we were woken to a herd of zebra chewing on the grass behind our tent and one lady’s water bottle was stolen by a baboon 😂 The wifi dongle in the car was spotty according to 3G signal, but good, and we were able to stay in touch with home. There are charging points in the car also, though having a power bank with us was helpful. There was a pair of binoculars in the car, but we would recommend bringing your own as otherwise you’ll be sharing with five others. Having unlimited access to bottled water was much appreciated. Be prepared for 5am starts in order to enjoy the sunrise and make the most of your tour. The whole experience was really amazing. We saw everything we wanted to see and more. The Serengeti and Ngorogoro national parks were truly beautiful. Thanks again to Mudy and Gadi and the whole Meru Slopes team!

Fantastic service with Meru Slopes & Samuel - My husband and I came for our honeymoon and we are glad to have booked with Meru Slopes. We visited central Serengeti and also travelled up to northern Serengti to see the great migration. Also went through Ngorongoro crater, which was beautiful. Our guide Samuel was extremely professional, friendly and reliable. We saw countless lions, elephants, giraffes, even cheetah and rhinos! Plus stayed at amazing lodges, super comfortable with good food and service. Samuel was so helpful to help us with everything, and we fully recommend him. Thank you Samuel and Meru Slopes!

Absolutely amazing and so flexible - will be recommending to everyone! - Meru was the highlight of my trip and I’ll be telling everyone! I did a lot of research before and somehow this company had the cheapest prices and yet so many inclusions. On arrival, they sorted me a SIM card (at no cost), taxis etc. During the actual safari we were given proper drinking water and the car was crazy comfortable even with extra cushions. They even threw in 3 bottles of wine and beers for us. The real icing on the cake though was when I realised I was a bit ‘safaried out’ - I messaged Geoffrey (who is available 24/7) and they immediately organised a cancellation for me, refunded me and got me back to Arusha. They were completely understanding and basically just made sure I had the best holiday possible. I don’t know what else to say except I am delighted! The only thing to be aware of is some of these safaris are grouped together e.g you do something for 2 days and meet another group. For solos travellers, it’s good to know you might not have the same group and might not always have a dull car. We only had 4 as 2 didn’t show up - but this also gave us a lot of room so I cannot complain. Finally to Daniel and Doolah - thank you for being so kind, making sure we saw everything (we saw all Big 5 twice over, I even asked to try and see some kills and Daniel tracked down 3 seperate kills). I’ve never written a review before but just had to for Meru - do it!!!
