Highlights
- Ahoy Bistró Siciliano - Meet up with the chef Mimmo Siciliano in the historical center of Taormina and visit the local market. Tasting various fresh vegetable products, cheeses sold by local sellers. Choose the dishes to cook with the Chef based on the fresh and seasonal ingredients found at the market. Continue towards the Restaurant “Ahoy Bistrò Siciliano” in Giardini Naxos (transfer included in the price), 15 minutes from the market, facing the sea and the Bay of Naxos and Taormina, and wine tasting with focaccia, cold cuts, and local Sicilian cheeses. After wearing the apron, preparation of 3 traditional Sicilian dishes: an appetizer, a fish dish and different types of fresh pasta made by customers with their own hands.
Discover Sicily in its unique flavors, from Pachino cherry tomatoes to the Bronte pistachio located at the base of Etna volcano. Delight in the scent of aubergines while you prepare a plate of pasta alla norma, and discover the flavors of our sea through fresh fish taken at the market, and flavored with spices such as capers from the Aeolian Islands and olives born from the fertile volcanic land. And then everyone at the table for the typical lunch on festive days a few meters from the beach and the sea. Finally, delivery of diplomas and autographed apron as a souvenir of a special day. At the end of the experience, customers will be taken back to the meeting point.

Must do!!! - Cannot say enough great things about this experience. Chef Mimmo and his mom were great hosts. From shopping for our ingredients to tasting our final product, 10/10. So fun and would definitely do again!!!

Highlight of our trip to Sicily - My family and I really enjoyed learning how to make pasta, vegetables, fish The Italian Way! We made friends with others in our group-went to a very authentic market to buy the products we were going to use. Chef was extremely knowledgeable and friendly explaining it all to us- but his sweet Italian mother- who spoke little English- impressed me the most! She showed me how to roll the pasta dough and mix it properly! We had so much fun! In the end, the wine- food- and new friends made was an incredible experience. I would highly recommend doing this when in Taormina 🇮🇹❤️

If you are staying in Taormina- do this!! - This is a fun annd educational experience! Seeing the market and actually hands on making food with Chef Mimmo and his mom Francesca at their family restaurant was fantastic. The view, the food, the wine and the recipes made for an exceptional lunch! Transportation was provided.
I can’t wait to go home and make homemade pasta!!!

Learning to cook in a seaview setting - Learning some useful techniques on how to make homemade pasta and of course tasting our dishes- which were delicious. Meeting other people from other parts of the world was also a bonus. Chef Mimmo was great and the restaurant was across the street from the sea. Amazing views.

A wonderful day at Mimmo il Siciliano! - The cooking course of Mimmo il Siciliano was a great experience! In addition to making various delicious dishes, you will also learn a lot about the products you use in the kitchen. You go through the preparation of the dishes step by step and eventually there is a beautiful plate of food in front of you. While enjoying a glass of wine and a cozy atmosphere we enjoyed the food. I would recommend this cooking course to anyone!

Perfect family day learning to make pasta - Amazing location Chef Mimmo and his mom were great teachers that enthusiastically shared their love of cooking with the whole group. Broke it down simply and a very fun experience that ended with everyone sharing a delicious meal. We made caponata, eggplant sauce and pesto for our home made noodles, swordfish rolls and all with fresh ingredients from the local market.

A lovely experience - A very authentic experience and absolutely recommendable. Very well organized. Mimmo guided us in a very entertaining way through the cooking of four different typical sicilian dishes, all of which we enjoyed with some local wine and antipasti. Our Holiday Highlight! - Wow… Chef Mimmo blew us away! We booked this cooking class for our friends 30th birthday trip. From start to finish, we had a blast, some of the tastiest dishes we had whilst in Sicily and all taught to us with enthusiasm and laughter! The wine flowed, as did the techniques we learnt. We cannot wait to make some homemade pasta ourselves when we get back to the UK with the recipes we received. Our friend was gluten free and chef Mimmo made sure she was included in every dish we made with the gluten free pasta and bread. Do not hesitate to book this class, it’s worth every penny!!
