Unbelievably beautiful - I should start off by saying that we did the whole day tour. The morning was Floating down the river which which was absolutely breathtaking. The afternoon was a class 3 level race course. I have done the American river in Sacramento, California, and this was a lot more scenic and interesting. And if you know, the American river, that 1 is pretty cool as well. My wife was blown away as it was her first time rafting. I had to convince her that it was safe. And not only was it safe and exciting, our guide Mads, was 'The bomb'. I can't tell you how experienced and knowledgeable she was and how well she took care of us and eased my wife's worries. There isn't enough time or space on this to write a review that this trip merited. But I just want to say that even though it was late season, I wouldn't dream of going any other time. By that I mean, the trees were so gorgeous and the weather was perfect. A known artist had set up his easel and began painting one of his many Gorge New Mexico paintings right at our berth location. Me and my wife still are on a high. Shout out to Mads for putting it down! -Felipe Navarro

Had a blast & excellent river guide - I had an absolute blast. Our river guide was outstanding. He narrated during the entire adventure and was incredibly knowledgeable about the land and its history. Also, I recently had a total knee replacement and wasn’t sure this would work for me. The river guide made sure I was safe and secure, and it worked out perfectly!

Great adventure for whole family with much more experienced guides than some other operators!! - We rafted with our 8yo son and our guide made sure he also had a great time! He was full of local knowledge so the trip felt like a tour of the river learning about local history, geology, and biology. Our son was given the opportunity to navigate, "ride the bull," jump in the river, and even learn the basics of steering the raft. Guide was hilarious and obviously very experienced. We would highly recommend a trip with Big River. Super trip!

Highly Recommend - We had an absolute blast! Our guide Miguel was a great storyteller and kept us entertained throughout our journey. August is a good month to take your inexperienced family members as the water is a little lower and slower. People on this trip ranged in age from 10-75 and we all can’t wait to do it again!

Mads was an awesome guide!! - Our tour guide made this a fabulous trip. Going in the morning was excellent time without a ton of other boats on the river. I am so glad we decided to go on this trip.

Fun and Informative - We enjoyed our trip with Brian, who was very knowledgeable and gave us lots of interesting information. The river was low, so the rapids were not large, which we expected. We had fun and enjoyed the stop for snacks. Our only complaint was that the description indicated we would receive water socks and wet gear. We were not offered either until after we questioned multiple times where we should put our shoes ( at which time we were offered wet socks). We would have brought our own gear, but for the description. I suggest bringing water shoes and wet gear if you think you want it.
