The Cameron Highlands, Malaysia’s leading hill station, is situated on the Main Range of Peninsular Malaysia. Standing at a height of 1,829 metres above sea level, Cameron Highlands holds the title of biggest amongst all Malaysian hill stations and experiences temperature fluctuations between 16 and 24 degrees Celsius. Its attractiveness is predominantly rooted in the immaculate, extensive tea plantations that were established in 1929, along with the tiered flower gardens, strawberry fields, and vegetable plots.
The Cameron Highlands is composed of a sequence of small towns such as Ringlet, Tanah Rata, Brinchang, Tringkap, Kuala Terla, and Kampung Raja. The entire population numbers around 30,000 and most people work in the agriculture and tourism sectors. Tanah Rata, the administrative hub of the highlands, presents the best tourist facilities, but Brinchang is rapidly emerging as a rival, with a host of hotels, serviced apartments, and eateries.
