Wadi Darbat - The green Wadi Darbat for a relaxing stroll along the Wadi bed, surrounded by herds of Camels, Goats & Cattle. In the Khareef season (monsoon period), one could also witness an almost 100m natural Water-Fall, spreading its
tentacles into numerous lakes & lush green Vegetation. -
Jabal Samhan - his location is commonly known as the
Grand Canyon of Dhofar, gives one a complete view of the east coast to the one side & the vast
Qara mountain range to the other.
And the range of Jebel Samhan to a breathtaking plateau at a height of almost 1700m. -
Taqah Castle - Visit the century old
Taqah Castle, the former official residence of the
Wali (Governor) of the region & obtain a glimpse into the rich history of the region.

Then drive into the
Begin your adventure early in the day with an all-day safari in 4X4 vehicles into the Dhofar Mountains.
Cruise through the picturesque village of Taqa, pausing for a photo opportunity at the village to capture the sweeping view from atop a cliff, famously referred to as the Taqah Plateau.
Next, venture into the perennially verdant Wadi Darbat for a leisurely walk along the riverbed, amidst herds of Camels, Goats, and Cattle. During the Khareef season, the monsoon period, you might also see a nearly 100-meter natural waterfall, which fans out into multiple lakes and a verdant landscape.
Proceed to one of the planet’s largest Sinkholes, located at Tawi Attair, also known as the “Well of Birds,” a popular spot for avian visitors all year round.
Continue the journey up into the Jebel Samhan mountain range to a stunning plateau at nearly 1700 meters high. This spot, often referred to as the ‘Grand Canyon’ of Dhofar, offers a panoramic view of the eastern coastline on one side and the expansive ‘Qara’ mountain range on the other.
