• Taqah - In the East - Taqah is a coastal town in the Dhofar Governorate. This historic fishing village features an intriguing castle surrounded by watchtowers and stone houses. Inside the castle, you’ll find rooms filled with ancient jewelry, weapons, furniture, paintings, and everyday items, making it feel lived-in.
• Wadi Darbat - In the East - We journey to Wadi Darbat, one of the most surprising locations in Dhofar. Nestled in the mountains overlooking Khor Rori, just beyond the Taqah coast, this natural park offers stunning views of waterfalls, numerous camels, lakes, mountains, caves, and lush green vegetation. During the Khareef season (monsoon), water from the mountains rejuvenates the Wadi, creating spectacular waterfalls that cascade from 30 meters (100 ft.) and fill cave chambers.
• Al Mughsail Beach - In the West - Al Mughsail Beach is famous for its blowholes. This beach is a must-visit in the Dhofar Region. Seawater rushes through an underground channel and erupts like a geyser from the cliff, with the spout reaching several meters high depending on the wave strength. We’ll stop for photos at the lagoon in Mughsail, where migratory birds can be spotted.
• Al Fizayah Beach - In the West - Fizaya Beach boasts pristine turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean, located along a winding road near Oman’s western border. Take some time to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
