The ceramics of Grottaglie, in the province of Taranto, have a craftsmanship tradition dating back to the late 17th century. Located in the lower part of the city, the ceramics district is renowned for its beautiful and versatile ceramic creations. Artisans produce a wide range of items, including shards, capase, pomi (pumi), fruit and citrus reproductions, trees, flowers, and decorated tiles for floors, dishes, and art objects.
