Great bird tour! - Jeison is an expert bird guide and did a great job for our group. We had four people with different skills and interests for birdwatching, but Jeison was excellent. We were able to see several large colorful birds but also a good list of regional endemics.

Great bird watching experience - Jieson, our guide, is very knowledgeable and experienced in finding and identifying the more difficult birds. Our birding group plans to use his services on future trips to Carara.

Fantastic experience with talented guide! - Review of birdwatching Jeison Hernandez Costa Rica Oct 27th 2024. Did bird watching with Jeison on October 27th 2024 in Puntarenas Costa Rica, Caldera terminal cruise. Jason came to meet me at 8:00AM at the gate of the terminal. It was a pleasant encounter, Jeison is a fine young man, very open and knowledgeable. We drove 45 minutes to Carara national Park and entered the main trail in the park. The atmosphere of the Rain Tropical forest was very special. It only took few minutes and Jeison was already spotting birds and making it visible for me in his scope (telescope). He really has a special talent and could see things I couldn’t with my bear eyes. We were almost 3 hours in the park and Jeison was just an expert at seeing birds and wild live. We saw a large amount of birds, monkeys and a huge Tiger Rat snake. So Jeison is passionate and professional and the perfect guide if you want to have a great day in the nature. I saw all the birds I wanted to see included ding the Toucan and the Hummingbirds. But I felt I love with the Trogons. The arrangement of this tour was done through WhatsApp months ahead and Jeison has been responding all along. So thank you and I had a great experience, I have learned a lot from Jeison!

A full day of birding - I had pre-arranged meeting Jeison at Carara NP for a full day of birding in the area. When I arrived he was waiting for me and was prepared to get started right away. I had provided him the names of target birds and he did a great job finding them. We spent several hours birding in the park, covering many trails. For the afternoon we birded some areas outside the park, adding several species to my Costa Rica life list. Jeison is an experienced guide with a good ear and vast knowledge of the local avian fauna. He is also a very pleasant person to spend a day with.

So many birds and other animals Thanks to the sharp eye of our guide! - Our guide was very informative about the birds. He took his time, explained everything and did his best to search for even the tiniest bird species. We enjoyed so much seeing over 40 species of birds!! As a bonus we saw some other animals too, such as coati, deer, squirrels, bull frog, poisonous green frog, agouti, ...

Bird watching - Armando was incredibly knowledgeable and skilled. We saw so many birds and truly enjoyed the experience.

Great Birding Guide - Jeison was our birding guide for a thoroughly wonderful 5-hour birding tour of Carara. He was able to find birds I wouldn’t have spotted in a million years. His knowledge of birds is vast, but he is also knowledgeable about other flora and fauna in the park. His English is excellent so I was spared having to use my broken Spanish. He is also flexible and worked with our schedule to find the best time for us to visit the park. I highly recommend Jeison as a birding guide, or a more generalized wildlife guide. You will be happy you hired him.

Wonderful birding tour with knowledgeable and personable guide - We had an excellent birding tour with Jeison! His expertise and knowledge of the park helped us see 78 different bird species over the half day tour, including many regionally endemic birds that I needed for my list. I was amazed at how he could name almost every single bird sound we heard, which let us focus on trying to see birds that were new to me. He was also knowledgeable about other wildlife in the park and pointed out other interesting species of monkeys, lizards, plants, and others. He was very personable and flexible with our changing plans. Our tour was a huge highlight of our Costa Rica trip. Highly recommend!

Great Experience! - We had a wonderful time on our bird watching tour at Carara National Park. Armando was an excellent guide and was very knowledgeable about not only identifying and finding birds in the park, he was also knowledgeable about the fauna and other creatures in the park. I highly recommend this tour. It was well worth the extra money.
