Excellent at a great price! - This was my third time doing an Isla Tortuga tour, and by far the best experience I’ve had was with TM del Pacifico (tmtourscr.com/isla-tortuga-full-day-tour/).
They picked me up at my hotel in Jacó in a very nice and comfortable minibus with WiFi and A/C, which made the start of the day easy and relaxing. I really enjoyed that the group was small. The speed boat experience was a big plus because it allowed us to do more exploration and sightseeing along the coast, plus snorkeling, and we were able to stay on the island for a full four hours.
During the trip we saw crocodiles, spider monkeys, dolphins, along the coast, several kinds of fish while snorkeling, and even wild pigs on the island. It felt like a very complete nature experience. Vero, the tour guide, along with Isabela and the captain, were all amazing and made the trip even more enjoyable.
The boat ride was smooth and comfortable, and I really appreciated that the boat had a roof to protect us from the sun. The lunch was really good, and they provided water and fruit throughout the whole trip. At the end we were even served coffee and cookies, which was a nice touch.
Once on the island, we rented umbrellas and recliners (not included) and had a very relaxing time enjoying the beach.
My only con would be that the snorkeling gear could use an update. I had to switch gear twice and neither snorkel worked properly. I was okay just using the visor, but it would have been nice to have a fully working snorkel as well.
Overall, I highly recommend this tour operator if you’re planning to visit Isla Tortuga.

Amazing experience - We loved the TM tour to Tortuga Island. Very good price and a lot was included. We got to see alligators, dolphins and monkeys. The tour guides really did their best to provide us the best experience. 10/10 recommend!

We had an incredible time... - We had an incredible time and cannot thank Veronica, Felipe, and Carlos enough! I highly recommend booking them for your excursion! We saw crocodiles, dolphins, monkeys, and had an amazing lunch on tortuga. We especially loved all of Veronica’s fun facts about the wildlife and nature.

A pleasant day of all this nature to see - We embarked on the catamaran from the town of puntarenas for a trip of about 1 hour 45 minutes to direct this on the island of tortuga the company that transported me on big catamaran is bay island cruises isla tortuga. A team of young people who this dedicates to offering us the best service and transport everything to the island to prepare the buffet thank you to all this team. On the island there is a bar that offers you natural drinks like a real pina colada there are activities for those who love bananas on the water the cayac the Snorkel the walk in the trails to see all kinds of different animals. And on the way back admires this beautiful sunset and fresh fruit snacks served on the boat an incredible service thanks to all this great team

Really nice - Great people!!! Nice crew . They made sure everyone was happy. We got to see birds, crocodiles, monkeys, whales, dolphins on the way to Tortuga island.
Island itself is beautiful but it’s really commercialized, you have to pay for everything, even bathroom, sun chairs, hikes. It was a bit disappointing.
But the tour itself was amazing!

Fun in the sun. - The tour was run by a local family rather than a large company so that was refreshing. On the way out, we saw some crocodiles sunning on a sandbar right next to the boat. Tour included a stop to see some monkeys and then snorkeling. Snorkeling was good as the guides were feeding the fish so we were completely surrounded by colorful fish. The only downside was the number of people in the water at the same time because there were so many different tour boats. This was not unexpected because it is the busy season, but it wasn’t optimal. We were then taken to the beach and fed a delicious lunch. Again, there were a lot of people there but we were able to rent some chairs and enjoy the sun. We had a great time. If going during busy season, have the proper expectation about it being busy and you’ll be good.

Great tour guides, saw... - Veronica our tour guide was great,Marco & Phillip the boat driver and helpers were great as well. We saw dolphins, spider monkeys and whales. Lots of fish during snorkeling and one of our tour guides brought us a star fish. Lunch was decent and the beach was beautiful.

Do Not Book This Tour - Started on friday trying to contact the tour via phone and Viator text for our tuesday trip information. No response until night before on a Viator app text.
When I woke up for the 7am pickup, a text had been put in my Viator box that the tour was cancelled 10 hours before the tour with no phone call or email. Reason lack of people!
Looking at other reviews this seemed to be a repetitive complaint.
The boat motors were in need of maintenance to the point we had to stop 20-30 times for
the captain to get them to work.
The island is worth going to. Consider going, but with a different company and one with boats that are newer and taken care of.
Viator should remove this company from their platform

Another one bites the dust - We were contacted the evening prior to the trip and notified the trip had been cancelled due to weather. The weather was the same the next day as we had experienced all week. Be prepared to have a backup plan if you book excursion.
