During this two-hour journey, you will voyage across the Tarcoles River, cruising in a secure and cozy boat while gaining knowledge about the region’s abundant biodiversity. There’s an opportunity to witness magnificent, prehistoric reptiles that are more than 4 meters long, and to identify over 50 varieties of birds.
This excursion also comes with amenities such as a wheelchair-accessible dock, private parking provision, and inviting gardens.

Good and also scary - The tour was fantastic the guide knowledgeable and very pleasant the end was terrible when we realized uber wouldn't pick us up at the location and they couldn't make arrangements for us we needed up walking to nearest town in the dark fortunately met a fantastic person who arranged a ride back to Jaco very uncomfortable for two women to be left in that situation not impressed that it wasn't mentioned when booking that we should include transportation with tour.

Great introduction to Costa Rica wildlife - The guide was very knowledgeable and we saw more birds than we expected and the boat driver was also a great help

Really cool! - Our guide Gustavo was really good!! Made some jokes and I learned a lot during the tour. We saw lots of beautiful birds and came close to big crocodiles!

Amazing, a must do in the area! - Brilliant. The guides were really knowledgeable and we got to see loads of crocodiles and a great variety of birds. The free brochure was really good to refer to and to keep as a souvenir. Totally recommend.

Excellent safari - We did the crocodile safari and birds watching tour with Jose. We had an excellent time looking at all the different birds located on the edge of the river or in the trees and we saw many! We also saw some crocodiles and some were huge. Jose was very friendly, he spotted a lot of birds which we would not have seen at all and he manoeuvred the boat very close to the crocodiles for us to have close pictures of their teeth. After the safari, we had an excellent lunch and in the shop there was a lot of souvenirs to choose from. Thank you for making our visit a memorable one!

Our experience with Jungle Crocodile and Birds - Punctual, easy access to boat, beverages available for free at gift shop, plenty of baños, knowledgeable guides, many species of birds identified at low tide, many crocs seen.

For bird lovers - Unfortunately the river wasn't very high so we only saw 2 crocodiles. However, a lot of birds. At the bridge on the Rio Tarcoles you can see more crocodiles
