So much fun on great trails. - What a fun day. Enrique was our guide and was fantastic. On our last day in Costa Rica we had flown into San Jose and were looking for an activity to do. So happy we decided to do private ATV tour.
I grew up 4 wheeling, so I loved having my kids get to experience it. Fantastic trails - shallow rivers, mountain trails through a farm - saw cows, horses, iguanas, lot of mud to go through if you wanted. Stopped and took a few family pictures. Rode down to the beach and Enrique pointed out a mom and baby sloth!
We had drinks and tacos at the restaurant back at the base. Mojitos and tacos were delicious.
Ended up being a perfect last day and one of our favorite excursions.

Get ready to have some FUN!! - Just being out in the country side and in the rivers was a great experience. We had a great guide and they took us down to the beach to spend some time. Very fun and I would definitely recommend this adventure.

Would do it all over again!! - Awesome experience!! From our pickup driver, Yessenia, to our tour guide, Enrique, it was hands down a great experience all the way around. Essentially was very knowledgeable of the region as we drove to Jaco Beach and Enrique was a great tour guide during our ATV experience. We drove through jungle, rainforest, streams and all the way to the beach. There was also a photographer waiting at specific photo op locations ready to take pics of us as we drove by which ended up being the best pics we got.

Villa Fondi in Sant'Agnello - The Villa Fondi in Sant'Agnello is magnificent. It is next to the Domus San Vicenzo. The park and the sea views are beautiful.

My favorite ATV tour yet - I loved every bit of this tour! Safety first was the overall them of the trip but they alao allowed us to open up and get messy and muddy!!! Enrique was an excellent tour guide. He answered all of our questions about the land and country, as well as gave us some interesting facts about the area. I would definitely recommend, and even do this tour again.

Not worth the money - We paid for private tour but they tried to put us with another group because we were late arriving, but it was due to holiday traffic. We were picked up exactly when the driver stated. And then they told us we were not gonna see the waterfalls because that was for a four hour tour and we only paid for a two hour tour. I showed them the website that stated the tour we paid for would include waterfall. We did get a private tour guide and the trip was beautiful however it ended after one and a half hours and we had not seen the waterfall. They stated they were putting us in a van to go to a much smaller waterfall which was not what we paid for.

The good, the bad, the ugly - The good: our van driver was super nice and super patient and the van super comfy. The trip overall took a lot longer than expected Due to traffic, etc., but he never rushed us and let us get drinks and food when we wanted to. I really appreciated his kind patience. Our tour guide on the ATV, Nelson, was also very nice, friendly and fun. The ATVs were in great shape and the trail rides were awesome. The views were spectacular and stopping at a local beach to get drinks and food if you want it was also fun.
The bad: Traffic was horrendous due to a national holiday that we were not aware of. It took us an hour longer to get there and after an hour hour and a half of sitting in traffic, our van driver told us we may not be able to go on the ATV tour because we would be arriving so late. Then he received confirmation that it would be OK. This was a holiday they should’ve taken into consideration, and been better prepared for. When we arrived, I asked the woman at the desk to confirm that we would see a waterfall. She advised we would not because that was for the four hour ATV ride and we signed up for the two hour. I explained that that was not mentioned in the website, and I showed her the description of the tour that we paid for that included hopping off and getting in the waterfall. Pictures were included by other riders. She reiterated that was for the four hour tour. I reiterated the four hour tour was not even an option and it was listed in our two hour tour. She asked if we are all experienced riders, Which we confirmed. And so she told us we would see the waterfall. When we were getting on our ATVs, One guide was talking to my group and to another group. And then it became obvious that we were being joined up with another group. I explained that we had paid double the price in order to have a private tour guide. They replied because we were late. I explained that we were late because of traffic for their national holiday which They should’ve accounted for when they assigned our pick up time. Furthermore, if they were going to join us with another group, they should’ve told us that and we could’ve turned around and gone home Or they should’ve refunded us half the price we paid. We had to wait A little longer, but they sent another guide (Nelson) over to be our private guide. Our tour was supposed to begin at 1 o’clock. We arrived at the facility at 2 o’clock, but our ATV ride did not begin until 3 o’clock. I’m not sure why all the waiting around was necessary.
The ugly: After a very fun one and a half hour ride, we returned to our starting point. We had not seen the waterfalls and we had not been riding for two hours. They explained that we were going to hop in a van and drive to a spot where we could get out and walk and see a waterfall. It was not the same waterfall as pictured. It was much smaller and it was not on the ATV trail as described. They called the lady back at the office and put her on the phone with me and we went back-and-forth, but to no avail she again started to reiterate that that was for the four hour tour. I asked why she told me in the office that we could see the waterfalls, and she explained this van ride was our option they were offering us. She did not state that before we left. It was very discouraging because it could’ve been a really fun time despite the awful traffic if we had at least gotten to do what we thought we were paying for.
She did say it was because we signed up with a third-party vendor. That does not seem fair to the consumer. If something is not listed accurately in any website, they should remedy that.
There was no mention of offering us any partial refund. To me, it was not at all worth $189.
