Additional Information

Welcome to Tarifa! A unique city due to its geographical position, it is situated in the “Strait of Gibraltar,” just 14 km from the African continent. Additionally, it is the meeting point of the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, an area of significant environmental interest. In the city, you’ll find a blend of history, diverse cultures, and exceptional cuisine. Regarding the tour, we will start at the renowned “Puerta de Jerez,” which marks the entrance to the old town. After a brief introduction, we will embark on a journey through time, strolling through the charming streets of Tarifa. During the tour, we will explore typical Tarifa patios, and I will recommend various shops, especially those offering gastronomic delights. We will visit the main church of the city (San Mateo Apóstol), a viewpoint with views of the strait, the food market, the castle, and finally, the so-called “island of pigeons.”
