Taroudant
the medina is a place to hang out and linger. The two souks is well worth a visit, more relaxed than Marrakech, but with an atmosphere of activity that is absent in Agadir.

Taroudant - Taroudant is one of the oldest cities in Morocco, situated to the south and 80 km east of Agadir.
Departure at 8:30, and after traversing the Souss plain, which is abundant in agriculture; with orange groves, olive trees, tomato greenhouses, bananas, we reach Taroudant; an ancient medina encircled by 06 to 07 km of clay-built ramparts; torch… with a height of 04-05 m. We tour the city walls, the markets, and plazas of Taroudannt that are imbued with the enchanting aura of the Maghreb. Yet, it’s also a functional town, a hamlet where Berbers conduct commerce with goods from the lush and bountiful Oued Souss valley.
Following the exploration of Taroudant, we set out for a picturesque oasis {Tioute} 30 km from Taroudant, a village with red ocher dwellings that present a stunning vista. A donkey ride is the finest method to experience the palm grove (additional cost), followed by lunch (chicken with lemon + couscous..} at the kasbah, which offers an exceptional panoramic view.

The tiout oasis wasn't as... - The tiout oasis wasn't as good as I was expecting as I thought there would be a lake there amongst the palm trees. we were handed over to a local guide when we arrived there and at the end of the tour which was very slow going he demanded a donation from everyone which I feel should be your own choice but he followed a woman who didnt want to pay him up into the restaurant which for me was just like begging and spoilt the time there .the meal was nice .when we got to taroudant we only had 15 or 20 minutes at the city walls which I thought was going to be the biggest part of this trip but was a bit disappointing

Replaced my unused seats without refund. Hot bus, first guide irritating - Two of my group of three couldn’t come due to food poisoning/gastrointestinal problems. This was fine, however they filled the seats I booked with other people! With no mention of refund.
The first half of trip to Taroudant started well, and the walls and ramparts offered good photos and interesting history. The guide for this first half was quite annoying. His jokes were uncomfortable and caused unnecessary anxiety. We weren’t allowed to shop in the market except to get snacks at vendors he chose (that offered no drinks or anything that seem appetising, despite me being very hungry). The guide offerered next to no help communicating that I had a nut allergy. The lack of drink stops was nad considering is was 37 celcius. The bus had seemingly non-existent air conditioning. The second half of the trip to Tiout was much better. The Kasbah was a beautiful, picturesque building, with a nice, traditional meal. The palm tree groves and streams offered a great place to cool your feet with a cold drink. This guide was funny and entertaining. I would advise the donkey ride through this section, as it eases the burden of walking and the extra cost helps the locals.
The second half was great. The first half had great sights, but the guide was not likeable and the bus needs much better air con. I will seek a refund given that they replaced my paid seats.
