Poblet Monastery, a Cistercian abbey acknowledged as a World Heritage Site by Unesco, is our first stop. This grand architectural ensemble has close to a millennium of history, ranking among the world’s top three largest and most intact. From there, we head to Igualada, a city known for its textile and leather tanning industries. Here, we’ll explore the Pil Museum, taking a closer look at production tools and processes. From Igualada, we move on to Montserrat, notable for its breathtaking mountain landscapes. We’ll visit the sanctuary of Moreneta, a local name for the revered local virgin, Mare de Déu de Montserrat. After paying our respects at the sanctuary, we’ll soak in the stunning views from the Montserrat viewpoint, made all the better with a delightful lunch amidst the scenery.
