Gotta be a better way! - Airport transfer from the Tarragona, Spain Cruise Port to the Barcelona Airport. - first, we received a message, then a phone call at 1am in the morning 30 days before the booking- a driver was in Tarragona for our transfer. The company had somehow gotten the wrong month. That was straightened out, but left a little bit of doubt in my mind. - I had several chat exchanges before & during our trip trying to confirm a meeting point. 36 hours before our pickup, the driver sent us the pick up location. The ship’s Captain told us our docking point would be a couple hundred meters from the parking lot , but he was talking about the actual cruise port terminal. The two were 2.4 km apart in an industrial area with no formal transportation. The limo company said they couldn’t get to the terminal because of port restrictions. Our cruise director got involved & after several phone calls passed the driver’s license & car info to the port authority allowing him access to the pier & the cruise port terminal. This should be standard procedure. Otherwise, passengers are left to their own devices to get to the meeting point our driver wanted to use. Not at all user friendly. -the booking said the vehicle would have wi-if. It didn’t. The driver mentioned water, but we never received any. The vehicle AC was marginal at best. The driver had marginal English skills. Our Spanish isn’t that great either. - the bottom line- we got to BCN as planned, but not without a little hassle. A little much considering the $250 fare.
