Semiotics applied to pretty Tartu. - An art and culture tour from the point of view of semiotics was a new, interesting experience. You discover little things and aspects that make Tartu exciting and personable. The tour was not a lecture, but more a dialogue, a shared experience of the city.

Amazing tour, amazing guide - The tour was amazing from the beginning, in fact I am not good at art Alec did introduced to the art and thought how to think outside of box. Even the tour is not through the basic sightseeing places Alec did tell about most important things in Tartu and answered all the “random” questions I might have. Amazing tour, amazing tour guide, amazing time spending. Definable will suggest!

Learned a lot about the meaning behind Tartu design - I recently went on this walking tour in Tartu with a focus on semiotics – which is the study of how meaning is created and communicated through anything that conveys information, such as words, images, architecture, and objects. It was a unique way to explore the city and definitely different from the usual historic site tours. I learned a lot and it made me see Tartu in a whole new light. I’d definitely recommend this tour as a great addition to the more traditional tours of the city.

Unique insights into Tartu’s culture and art - Alec provided our group of 4 with a fascinating insight into Tartu’s history, art and culture. We got a lovely insight into how Tartu developed its reputation as an educational centre and learned a lot about its founders and uniqueness. Highly recommended!!

Nice tour but not for everyone. - A nice tour that will show you Tartu through a different point of view: If you join this tour you might miss some of the main attractions of the city but you'll learn much more about themes that you usually don't think about. If you already know Tartu this is a nice option but if it is your first time you might want to get another provider.
