At the roundabout in front of the Monumento del Campesino, I took the exit towards La Masdache or La Geria. On the main road is the Church of Masdache. That will be the meeting point.

Best guide ever for a breathtaking volcanoe hike - Wonderful experience in an amazing environment. The trecking was not hard physically and there were lots of stops since Sandra, our guide, was giving us lots of interesting information about the island and the volcanos. She was the best and made the experience unique.
Just make sure you double check the starting time (ours in January started at 3pm rather than 4pm as indicated by Viator).

Trekking tour Lava fields and volcanic craters - Highly recommended!
Trekking tour in small group. We stayed with guide 10 people. The tour took about 3.5 hours. We drove our own car first to the meeting point and then to the parking lot near the volcanoes. The hike leads through the lava fields and around a volcano to a volcanic crater. Our guide then gave additional information on the origin and history of the area at several stops.. very informative.
The track is about 8 km and generally good to run with normal fitness, you don’t have to be a high-performance athlete 😉. In between at a stop there is a small snack with Canary specialties. Not suitable for small children, I would recommend it for people from 14 - 70.

Amazing afternoon among volcanos - It was great spending the afternoon with Sandra. She’s very knowledgeable and passionate after her island, love her personality. She made sure to spend time with everyone and getting to know us. The trekking is moderate, but you will need comfortable clothes, sun protection, water and closed shoes. Almost at the end Sandra had special treats for us, which allow us the time to enjoy sharing our experience with other participants. I highly recommend this experience. Sandra thank you! You’re incredible!

Lavatrekking with Sandra - St Catalina Volcano - My wife and I visited Lanzarote for the first time in October 2024. It is a highly volcanic island, whose volcanoes can be seen in every part of the island. Excellent for studying volcanoes (and birdlife). The island is therefore full of lava tunnels which can also be used as makeshift caves. We used the company Lavatrekking to visit Volcán Santa Catalina (St Catalina Volcano), a trek off the beaten path. We had the excellent guide Sandra who gave us a personal tour. Sandra was very passionate and knowledgeable about her craft, and as a consequent we learned a lot of new things about the geographical landscape and history of Lanzarote. Sandra looked after us. For the beautiful and unique scenery alone, I recommend Lavatrekking.
