The city of Bukhara committed an official 2500th anniversary in 1997. Your detailed visit begins in the citadel Ark. Then you will discover the landmark of the city, the minaret Kalan, the mosque of the same name and the adjoining medrese Mir-e Arab. Richly decorated, the mausoleum of Ismail Samani welcomes you in the afternoon. The day concludes with an atmospheric folklore show in the Madras Nadir-Diwan-Begi.

Part of the city, they form a closed complex and resemble an open-air museum of Islamic architecture. After detailed sightseeing (Kunja-Ark Fortress, Pachlavan-Machmud complex,
Minaret Kala-Minor, minaret Islam-Khodja u.v.a.), you can have your dinner with folklore concert in
a transformed into a restaurant medresse.
Day 8 Khiva - Ayaz Kala (about 150 km / 2,15 hrs)

Kokand is located in the largest and most densely populated oasis of Central Asia, approximately 240 kilometers southeast of Tashkent - in the Fergana Valley. Mountain landscapes and numerous fruit and vegetable plantations, rows of mulberry trees and wide cotton fields await you in the Fergana Valley. In the first half of the 19th century Kokand was an important trading center and with more than 300 mosques the religious center of the Fergana Valley. Today it is the main traffic hub of this region. You will visit the Khudajar Khan Palace of Kokand. The building is one of the last major buildings of Islamic architecture in Central Asia in the 19th century. Further afield, you will reach the largest mosque in Kokand, the Juma Mosque. Then continue to Rischtan. Rischtan was and has been famous for several centuries for its pottery. You will visit one of the most famous ceramic workshops of a hereditary master. Characteristic of the handicraft produced in Rischtan is the tableware with geometric arabesques, plant motifs and depictions of animals and humans. In the workshop you will learn from the Usto (master) details about the manufacture and decoration of ceramics. Fergana.

After breakfast, visit a private farm. Some varieties of fruit trees start to bloom at the end of February. The staff will also show you a poultry factory. Continue to Margilan. Legend has it that the city was founded by Alexander the Great. The city was famous mainly for the silk fabrics made here, which were delivered to Egypt and Greece. Even today Margilan is known as the silk capital of Uzbekistan. How the material is obtained, you will learn during the visit of a factory in Margilan.
