Absolutely fantastic experience! - Phenomenal service from collecting our tickets to the whole onboard experience. Very knowledgeable staff, explaining the areas we were sailing past. Complimentary tea, coffee & biscuits on board which was great on a cold and wet day. The weather didn’t affect our experience at all. Bar service is at a great price as well.

Great cruise for all ages, well priced - This is a great way to see Taupō and the lake and especially the Māori rock carvings. A small replica steamboat with two crew, indoor (for cold or wet days) and outdoor seating. You also have the option of free hot drinks (tea, coffee, hot chocolate) as well as a small, limited licensed bar selling the cheapest beer and wine in New Zealand and a great mulled wine. The cruise itself is also very reasonably priced. I’d highly recommend this cruise. We travelled as 4 adults but a family were on board also and the crew were great, giving the little boys a chance to steer the boat (and giving them a certificate afterwards) and on the return cruise whipped out printed colour of sheets and textas and pencils for the boys. This is an activity suitable for all ages

Recommended - Staff are friendly, complimentary cookies and tea and coffee. Great explanations from the captain and his team. Boat is cute and cosy. Clean and comfortable too! The view was perfect, captain actually made extra turns to ensure everbody has a good picture or view of the carvings. Boat was on time back and forth. Beautiful experience indeed
