Fabulous Fun - This was sooo much fun and the guys on board were Great hosts. We had a spot of bad weather but they were great about warning us and moving around the rain as much as possible, plus helped us shuffle in and out of cover to enjoy the open air and then hide back inside when the rain came. Definitely recommend taking a dip in the water - it was unbelievably warm even though it was a bit chilly in the open air.

With great weather you are getting an unforgettable experience! Do it! - Lucked out with the weather. It was a spectacular experience. With the sunset and the Māori rock, the warm water of the lake this trip is definitely a must. No idea how would it be if the weather was different … The captain was super experienced, great and informative as a guide. Thank You Dave!

Seriously the best - Absolutely epic day out with Taupo Sailing Adventures! Couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend the day—chill vibes, good company, and a solid mix of relaxation and adventure. One of our mates had never been on a boat before, and this was the perfect intro—no stress, just cruisy sailing with a bit of a yarn and a splash. The crew were bloody awesome, making sure everyone felt welcome, and the whole thing was super laid-back. I’ve sailed a bunch of times with a competitor of these guys, and I will be choosing Taupo Sailing Adventures for any further trips I take people new to the area on. Getting in the water was great fun - jumping off the boat was a total buzz, and the lake was wicked (once you were in!). If you’re on the fence about getting wet—just send it! Shoutout to Aaron, the host—top bloke. He gave just the right amount of info about the lake without chewing your ear off, so we got to kick back and enjoy the ride. Honestly, if you’re in Taupo and don’t book this, you’re missing out. Highly recommend. Cheers for the epic day, team! Will 100% be back. 🛶🔥🌊

Last minute booking - loved it! - A last minute booking that was so worth it. Lovely relaxed crossing, facilities excellent, guides fabulous. And an impromptu bottle of Verve Clique to add the sparkle. Highly recommend and NO age bias at all.

Good way to see the carvings - This trip was worth doing, the only way to see the carvings is from the sea. We did a bit of sailing to get there but had to motor back due to wind direction and time constraints, which was a shame. We were given some information about the carvings and there was an opportunity for a short swim.
