Great family experience - Brilliant morning kayaking with family. Really friendly and child focused staff. We all had a great time on the water and would definitely go back.

Waimarino fantastic day out -
Great day out for a cheap cost per person, loads of activities to suit all ages and they now have a cafe although you can still take your own food and make use of the bbq’s.
We go once a year, arriving just after opening, take our sunshade and picnic and have a fun fulled day.
Highly recommended.

Fantastic Fun Day Out - This place is a hidden gem! We had a fantastic day out. Family of 4 (with 6 & 8 yo) So much to do and older kids would love it also with more adventurous activities my kids were not brave enough for. Staff are all lovely, so friendly and cannot do enough for you. Highly recommend. Tip if coming from the cruise port, take an Uber not a taxi as it was half the price.

Awesome adventure playground - I remember Waimarino from my childhood which was a nice place to kayak. However they have now upgraded and have created a kiwi theme park environment. I found the entry excellent value for money considering the number of activities and there are no limitations on the number of rides or how long we could stay. The water activities offered all sorts of thrills for all ages. This is extremely family friendly and next time I would take a picnic snd plan to stay longer. I would say this is a must visit for anyone coming to Tauranga.

Wonderful Fun Time for all ages - Our 6 grandchildren (aged from 4 to 10 years ) had the most exciting fun filled day out . We booked in for the 11.00 am arrival time and were one of the last to leave at 5.00 p.m. Pack a picnic as there are plenty of tables etc. would suggest taking wetsuits if you have them . Lots of activities for everyone., and some that will challenge those that are keen. Thank you to all the staff you were so friendly. We will be back

Holiday family building fun - Heaps of holiday fun, so many exciting things to do to keep you and your bunch active all day. My children have developed so much water confidence and independence from our visits here. The family vibes are always on and waimarino is a great day out.

Excellent kayak trip along McLaren Lake - Excellent kayak tour along McLaren Lake … Chris was fantastic - knowledgeable, and made the trip really easy and interesting. Beautiful little inlets to explore … great experience.

Fun for all ages - Here on a hen do and had sooooooo much fun! Great set up for a group looking to do some activties and catered to different peoples preferences. Some just did the kayak and paddle boat,, others the slide and trampoline :)

Mean Employee - Half day was fun until one of the employees (Hanah) threw a tantrum and started berating us about a ball that got stuck in a tree by another group.
Totally uncalled for from a park employee.
The tone of her voice was totally demeaning and bordering racist.
She approached our group of 37 people with such rudeness.
We brought this to the attention of the manager on duty which initially tried to shrug it off as ok but later on acted on our demand for an apology.
Totally ruined the rest of the day for the group.
She should be sacked or sanctioned for inappropriate behaviour.

Over priced...over sold. - Photos over sell this over priced family activity. There are only two inflatables...compared to the photos shown online. For the cost of the entry there's certainly none of that being put back into the upkeep of the park.
I'd suggest taking your own inflatable and enjoying the river free....there are other seriously insane aqua inflatable parks within the region if you're camping that are incredible.
