Not to be missed! Cathy, Canada - Had a wonderful tour with Andreia at the Olive oil Factory. She is such a force, entertaining, knowledgable and funny. Her sister works in the background, and she is also very helpful. There are only 3 of them that run this operation. Unfortunately it was not the time of year for harvesting of the olives, so we weren't able to see the whole process although very similar to how the making of wine works, substituting the grapes for the olives! That tour lasts about 35 minutes and then you stand around tables with a lovely selection of cheese, proscuitto, bread, olives and a thimble of a selected olive oil. Out front by cash, they have other olive oils that you can also sample by asking. You also have about 5 different types of olives to try, so you really do get a nice tasting- oh, and I forgot! They also give you your chouce of a generous glass of wine- rose, white or red. My friend who loves Rose said this was the nicest she's tasted in our 3 weeks in Portugal, and that included attending a wine show over 3 days in Albufiera!

Must Visit! - Amazing experience and highly recommended! Our guide, Andrea was funny, charming and tremendously interesting - we learned a lot about olives and oils - and it was fun! We had complimentary cocktails while waiting for the tour to begin then two full tables of olives and bread - local fig jams and cheeses and prosciutto… and on and on. We had wonderful time. It’s a MUST see!

Definitely worth a visit - We had a great time at The Olive Factory with a detailed explanation of how olives are processed. Although this was not the right time of year to see the factory in action, which we did know, the informative talk made up for that. Plus the great tastings afterwards, and not only olives. There was a huge range of roducts in the shop were well priced. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in local food.

Nice little tour! - This was a great little tour. Our tour guide was very cheerful, informative and personable. I was impressed with her ease of various languages. It was fun to learn about the nuances of different olives and at the end there was a very nice tasting session of olives, cheese, prosciutto, olive oil, etc; as well as a nice choice of beverages. There's also a small gift shop to browse.

Olives, Terroir, Portugal, all inclusive - The visit was very interesting (as far as we like olives). The tour is given in English but Andreia knows a little French. She explains the process of making olives. The tasting at the end is of course the highlight of the show, and if you like olives and local produce you will get plenty of value for your money. A big heart is put into this enterprise and it seems. Muito obrigado for tudo. Gabriel and Lydia

Say YES to Olive Tasting and Fun Facts - We love olives, so glad we did this tour. Andrea our excellent tour guide is quite knowledgeable about olives. Her presentation is well done with humor and passion for her craft. You will learn about olives, taste olives and some other delicious foods, with wine or beverages. A wonderful way to spend an afternoon in Tavira. We also enjoyed meeting Andrea’s sister, what a great experience they offer as a team. Obrigada to both of you for a wonderful experience! Highly recommend this tour!
