We saw wild flamingos!¡!! - Ignore the poor reviews, this is €7 euros for a 50 min drive about Tavira. It takes you out to the salt flats where there are wild flamingos (which gave us the idea to walk out to see again the next day) in August it wasn't hop on hop off. I thought it was a nice way to spend an hour and support whoever runs this.

Trip on tourist train - A great and inexpensive way to introduce yourself to Tavira. Would have given 5 stars but the commentary was no use as earphones not used and the outside traffic/other passengers drowned it out. Still recommend.

Ok to get your bearings and do the tourist thing - A very bumpy ride: top tip a sports bar is recommended. As you would expect a very touristy train ride through the highlights of Tavira and the island beyond. It was ok to have a look at the place.

Hop on and stay on as you may get left behind. - Rode the tourist train a couple of days into our visit. You need to buy your ticket from the drivers window before you board or show him your mobile ticket. The driver we had got very grumpy with the people that got on before doing this. The route is not very picturesque apart from when there is a 10 minute stop at the castle. There is a pretty garden and great views of Tavira. The driver sounded the horn twice and then drove off. There was at least one person left behind Best part of the tour was seeing the flamingoes on the salt flats but they are quite some distance away. You are probably better off paying €2.50 return for the ferry to the island as you see them just as well. Overall not great value for money.

Good for seeing the flamingoes. - Good for seeing the flamingoes but everything else is easily seen on foot. If you need a break from the heat or don’t have much time in Tavira, it is ok for the money.

Geen HOP on Hop off !!!! - Is not a Hop-on Hop-off train as they say!!!! Could get on at Hotel Vila Galé Tavira. Train did not stop, just kept going while we had already booked online and bought tickets. Tried to contact the company a few times, but no response. So you just lose your money.

Not recommended trip - Only went on trip because it was raining. Waste of money. Better to get free map from the tourist information and walk it. Driver was very rude and unhelpful. Do not recommend.

Tour cancelled with no notification - The tour was cancelled but we were not notified. We stood waiting at the start My point for close to an hour. It was a fellow waiting passenger that notified us of the cancellation. No sign was posted and no updates were emailed. Very disappointed to have waisted part of our holiday standing and waiting for a tour that never happened.

Socially not very developed driver. - We came across the train by chance. It was not clear that it was a ‘hop on, hop off’ system. The driver of the train was incredibly rude and angry at the passengers who didn't notice how the system worked. He got angry when people got in or out, but that was because really no one understood what the intention was. Asking questions about this was not appreciated. We didn't pay €6 but €7 euros. Maybe a self-invented tip...? The ride's okay otherwise. Especially to get your bearings in Tavira. Nice town by the way!
