Created by Zurab Tsereteli in 1985 to commemorate 3000 years of Georgian sovereignty and 2000 years of Christianity in Georgia, but it was never fully finished. There are 16 pillars that are between 30–35 meters tall, and the top half features kings, queens and heroes while the bottom part depict stories from the life of Christ. Few people come to visit the Chronicle of Georgia due to Tbilisi being a diverse city with a palette of attractions. But it is the perfect way to experience Tbilisi from a different angle. Mount Mtatsminda hosts famous attractions like the Funicular Restaurant Complex, TV Tower, Ferris wheel, and Tbilisi Funicular Railway. Riding the railway and a journey on the funicular is widely regarded as an essential and unforgettable experience. (Optional) - Vake Park - The public park in Tbilisi was opened in 1946 and is located in the Vake district of Tbilisi at the western end of Chavchavadze Avenue. World War II Memorial sits at the top of the hill in the park. The children’s park, open-air cinema, cafe-bars and restaurant are located in Vake Park. In the south-west, the park ends with Mikheil Meskhi Stadium. Near Vake Park is a cable car that connects the park to Turtle Lake. There is also a hiking trail from the park to the lake.
