Additional Information

The Kartli region, renowned for its diversity, comprises numerous cultural sites, ranging from historical landmarks to captivating landscapes. With origins tracing back to the first half of the III millennium BC, the region’s history spans various eras from classical to medieval, seeing several transformations. Kartli was deemed the abode of deities and was represented on earth by priests, leaders, and monarchs. Each stratum of the soil retains remnants of different eras. The region, located at the cultural crossroads, held immense significance as it bridged the East and the West. Its rocky trail still bears evidence of wheeled vehicle movements down the centuries. Mithraism or Zoroastrianism periodically ruled the region, with autonomous priests carrying out sanctified rituals. They conducted sacrifices on their altars, exalted female deities, and kindled sacred fires. More stories await on the tour.

A taste of Georgian history - We spent a wonderful day with our guide Nika. His explanation of the Stalin museum was the highlight of the day. Of course the tour of the cave town and the old capital was also excellent. During the tour Nika was also extremely helpful when we encountered some personal issue. All in all it is a very fruitful day of Georgian history. Highly recommend!

Fantastic Tour Guide-Nina! - Basically, this is our 2nd group tour trip. The first one was on a different travel tour company since we have just booked through booking.com. Right after the booking was confirmed this travel tour company is very accommodating and we are happy to know that they are very flexible even we have made an adjustment with the original date confirmed in our booking. During the day of the tour, NINA as our tour guide really did a great job and fantastic explanation on each and everything especially the root of history of Tbilisi. She professionally tell all the story behind each culture and history that is not normally being said by other tour guide. And we are just amazed how she memorize all of these by heart. Stating the facts and not only just a story telling time. Also, she managed to deal even if we have a naughty kid with us. Anyway, we will be back soon and will definitely choose her as the tour guide if given a chance.

Memorable experience - I went on a day trip with a small group of friends and Tota as our guide. It was a memorable experience! The mini bus was very comfortable. On the way to the sights, Tota was entertaining us, sharing interesting facts about Georgia and its history. He really was able to create a nice and friendly atmosphere! The sights we visited (Mtskheta, Gori, Uplistsikhe) were super interesting. The lunch we had in a cafe on Gori was delicious 🙂 I am glad I went on this tour, highly recommend 👍🏼
