Perfect Mountain Adventure - We had a wonderful experience with Khatuna, she was the best guide, very professional, kind and funny. She helped us choose a nice restaurant and was also a very skilled driver, so driving with her was comfortable and safe. The trip was very well organised and planned, we had enough time to explore all the locations, and there even was the possibility of travelling from Gudauri to Kobi by cable car. I would recommend this private tour, it allows you to visit one of the most significant and iconic places in Georgia at your own pace with a magnificent guide.

Awsome scenery and road with a mix of history and culture as a bonus - Overall very satisfiled. The weather up at Kazbegi was clear, scenery was stunning. My guide Aleksi has good English. He was very knowledgable about the history and culture of the area. He described the carvings on the monastery wall at Ananuri in some detail. He stopped wherever I wanted and was careful driving. Had snow tyres because the weather can change rapidly up top. He has contacts at Stephantsminde if you want to get a 4x4 up to Gergeti church

Best 1 day trip in Georgia - The tour was awesome. Best one day tour one can do in Georgia. Also the Guide Alexi explained everything, and also gave us enough time at each stop :)

BEST TOUR EVER! - My friend and I had a memorable, and memory-filled, time on this tour. Initially, I was nervous about driving up the mountain roads. But Khatuna proved to be a fearless and capable driver—and even better, a cheery and wonderful conversationalist who answered ALL our questions about Georgia and the sites along the tour. This tour was one of the best days of travel I've ever had. The mountains were awe-inspiring. The drive, gorgeous. The churches, so historic and moving. And some great views of free-range goats! If you're going to Tbisili, this tour with this company is a MUST. Ask for Khatuna. She is the BEST!!

The great caucasus mountains - Friendly Georgia are a very professional tour agency. After I saw the good reviews on TripAdvisor, I contacted the agency and chose this majestic tour (and another great tour mtskheta, gori, uplistsikhe). From the phone contact (WhatsApp texting), they were so helpful and professional. And on our tours, we were assisted by the guide Khatuna who was very friendly, well informed, and helpful. She assisted us from the first moments when we met in the airport till the last moment when she dropped us at the airport. The tour to Kazbegi with her was very interesting where we stopped on our way to see ananuri and other interesting sites. She gave us alot of exciting information. She was understanding, flexible, and dynamic. She tried to give us the best out of our private tours and made sure to fulfill our expectations. The private tour was well organised and comfortable despite being a long one (around 11 hrs). Yet it is an essential tour from Tbilisi if you want to have a good idea of Georgia's majestic nature. I would highly recommend the tour agency , the guide Khatuna, and this fantastic tour to stepantsminda in the heart of Caucasus mountains.

Great guide - This was a wonderful tour with a great guide. Alex is very knowledgeable and helpful. He even helped one guy who was trying to get his cell phone set up (something I would not have done as a tour guide, to be honest).

Completely unprofessional and a huge waste of time - SHORT SUMMARY: After a long day of poorly mismanaged time the owner/guide got drunk on the way home, where he verbally abused the other guide and members of the tour. DETAILS 1) We didn't see all the attractions listed. (In particular, the Aragvi River confluence and the Mineral Springs). 2) Unprofessional time management. Some attractions were over-extended while others were completely rushed through (or left out entirely). For example, this resulted in us seeing the Russia-Georgia Friendship Monument in the dark with no lights, unable to appreciate what we were supposed to be seeing. 3) Poor planning. In addition to bad time management, the trip didn't feel planned at all. No restaurant had been called ahead for lunch or dinner (even though one is specifically listed in the itinerary). We had to look around the town of Kazbegi until we found an open restaurant. Then, because of the holiday service, we had to wait two hours to be served, which resulted in us getting home later than planned. 4) The optional parts of the tour did not feel optional. Our two-hour meal was certainly not optional and the cable car at the ski resort did not feel optional. On top of that, it cost an extra 30 GEL per person that we were not expecting to pay, which is not listed in the description. Even the optional toast with homemade chacha at the Russia-Georgia Friendship Monument did not feel optional. 5) THE REASON TO AVOID THIS COMPANY: Our group had two tour guides, Khatuna and Alexander. Khatuna was extremely helpful, considerate, and all-around amazing. Alexander, who is apparently the owner of Friendly Georgia, was anything but friendly. On the way home he got drunk with one of our group members, which led him to be extremely loud and disrespectful to the driver, the other tour guide, and other members of the group. He made fun of a woman in our group in front of everyone for needing to use the restroom until she felt so humiliated that she cried. He then blamed the other guide for everything wrong, which made her cry as well. It took over 3 hours to return to the city because of multiple stops due to his drunkenness and overall belligerence. We feel extremely bad for Khatuna, the other guide, who was always trying to do her best to make sure we were comfortable and well-cared for, even despite her colleague's awful behavior. She was the one redeeming quality of this tour, which was otherwise a complete waste of time and money. Alexander, on the other hand, never saw his own faults in anything and never apologized to any of the members of the group. His only reactions to criticisms were to either deny the problem or shift the blame elsewhere. Drinking during a tour is OUTRAGEOUSLY irresponsible and unacceptable. Please do not waste your time with this tour.
